    Prevention Mortgage Modification Mediation Program 2014 Foreclosure Mediation Training Alabama has been one of the hardest hit states with respect to foreclosures The Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution Inc offers a FREE foreclosure mortgage modification mediation program to Homeowners Through April 30 2015 the Center will pay for the cost of mediators to mediate homeowner issues To date we have over 100 foreclosure cases that are mediated and or underway This program designed to mediate foreclosure and other mortgage problems assists both homeowners and mortgage servicers in resolving foreclosures Learn more about Foreclosure Mediation Find a Mediator with Foreclosure Training Contact the Center to learn how you can participate in this program Category ADR Posted on January 4th 2015 Family Mediation Program Parenting Divorce and Post Divorce Issues The Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution Inc offers a FREE family mediation program to help families with children fashion a parenting plan for the judge The Center will pay the cost of specially trained mediators to support the process Since 2013 ACDR has been expanding this program The Family Mediation program is a collaboration between the Center and the Supreme Court of Alabama Our goal is to help families with children and incomes under 85 000 fashion a parenting plan specific to their family to give to the judge The plan includes parenting time responsibilities support and other items the family may want The Center pays the mediators with the special designation divorce domestic relations signifying 40 hours of specialized training Mediators are also asked to give a small amount of pro bono time Highlighted in the December 2014 issue of Alabama Lawyer the program has proved successful We mediated 20 cases in 2013 22 in 2014 and in 2015 since October 1 2014 we already have 23 cases underway nine of
