  • Honorary Member Award
    bylaws an Honorary Member shall be an individual who has rendered distinguished service to the Society and or who has attained distinction in photogrammetry remote sensing or the related sciences deserving of recognition by the Society and shall be elected for life The total number of Honorary Members however shall not exceed twenty five at any given time and no more than two shall be elected in any year Honorary Members shall be entitled to all the privileges of the Society without payment of dues but they shall not have the right to vote or hold office therein except when they have been elected from the Member or Emeritus Member classification Honorary Membership is not applied for but shall be conferred upon selected individuals by a two thirds vote of all members of the Board of Directors present and voting by secret ballot at a duly advertised meeting or by mail ballot Appropriate background information shall be furnished to each member of the Board of Directors Click Here to Report a Problem on this Page Report a Problem Please complete all required fields Your Name Invalid Input Email Address Invalid Input What Problem are you reporting Broken Image Broken Link

  • Fellow Member Award

  • Leidos Estes Memorial Teaching Award

  • Outstanding Technical Achievement Award
    for the use of photogrammetry remote sensing or geographic information The OTA Award consists of a silver presentation plaque mounted on a walnut wood panel plus a cash award of 5 500 The presentation of the Award will take place during the annual spring ASPRS Conference Eligibility The OTAA Committee wishes to solicit nominations from the general membership of ASPRS The Award is made solely to an individual or plurality of individuals jointly The Award is not made to organizations such as companies agencies bureaus or associations However their personnel are eligible as individuals to receive the Award General Criteria Nominations must be submitted to the ASPRS OTAA Committee no later than November 5th to be considered for the award Self nominations are allowed but must be accompanied by a seconding or supporting letter from an individual knowledgeable of subject area Nominations must show specific breakthrough technology which causes major advances in the practice of photogrammetry remote sensing or geographic information systems in the United States The achievement must be recent but need not occur within the year prior to the award as it is recognized that the significance of critical contributions may not immediately become evident Rating Guideline for Judging 30 Practicality overall effectiveness 25 Economic Impact results in measurable efficiencies 20 Scientific Impact advances the science of photogrammetry remote sensing or GIS 15 Originality one of a kind 5 General Interest will be used extensively 5 Overall Presentation elegance of the design Submission Guidelines The nominee submission must include the following Name address phone and email address of nominee Executive summary in 250 words or less describing the invention or method Description of invention or method not more than four pages addressing the rating guidelines outlined above and describing in 1500 words or less what makes this invention

  • Outstanding Workshop Instructor Award
    conferred by ASPRS in recognition of special personal and meritorious contributions to continued organization promotion and or delivery of workshops at the ASPRS Annual and Fall Conferences The Workshop Coordinator convenes and chairs a sub committee that reports to the Awards Committee and is composed of a minimum of two additional individuals appointed by the President in consultation with the Awards Committee Chair and the Workshop Coordinator No more than one of the sub committee members may be a member of the ASPRS staff The sub committee reviews nominations for this award and also consults previous evaluations or records of workshops Members of ASPRS who have taught workshops in multiple though not necessarily consecutive years are eligible for the award and need not have taught a workshop in the year in which the award is conferred Awards may be made posthumously Only workshops offered in conjunction with regularly scheduled ASPRS Annual and Fall Conferences are eligible ASPRS staff and the Workshop Coordinator are not eligible for this award Typically one award per calendar year will be conferred though ASPRS reserves the right to not make an award in years in which no one qualifies or to make multiple awards when deemed appropriate by the Outstanding Workshop Instructor Award sub committee Awardee s shall be presented with a certificate and an inscribed laser pointer in situations where workshops have been routinely jointly taught each person who substantially contributed will be given a plaque and laser pointer when deemed appropriate by the sub committee Click Here to Report a Problem on this Page Report a Problem Please complete all required fields Your Name Invalid Input Email Address Invalid Input What Problem are you reporting Broken Image Broken Link Spelling Other Issue Invalid Input Additional Comments Invalid Input Please enter these 4 NUMBERS

  • Boeing Award for Best Paper in Image Analysis and Interpretation
