    the National Park Foundation and the National Park Service kicked off the Find Your Park movement to inspire all people to connect with enjoy and support America s national parks They invite those who already know and love the parks and also the next generation of visitors supporters and advocates to join the movement at FindYourPark com There are 58 national parks in the National Park Service and the SAC is challenging you to pick one and create a visualization product that highlights its unique features Examples include Time series animation GIS fly through Online story map Image based structure from motion 3D model Participation Guidelines Form a group of 3 7 undergraduate and or graduate students and a faculty advisor in your region at least 1 student must be an ASPRS student member by the registration deadline and remain a student member through the Annual Conference If you have trouble meeting this requirement please feel free to contact us You may also ask for guidance from ASPRS members in your surrounding communities To be eligible to compete please submit a completed registration form by February 26 2016 https docs google com forms d 1pFlxhawfZGdZbLxTI8i yBHSIe8ZoIK wvSrO8Yl9pk viewform Project Deliverables and Deadlines 1 Visualization product 2 Brief report including background objective method and a description of the final product All materials must be submitted via Google Drive link to asprsstudentcouncil gmail com by 11 59 pm EST on March 25th 2016 At least one representative from each team is encouraged to attend the 2016 Annual ASPRS Conference in Fort Worth on April 11 15th to present the final product Evaluation The products will be evaluated both before and during the 2016 ASPRS Annual Conference by judges from different sectors of the geospatial industry Government Employees Students Private Sector Employees Faculty

    peer reviews of approximately 125 manuscripts per year and for making decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of papers submitted for possible publication This involves selecting and communicating with three reviewers per manuscript The Editor In Chief works with the PE RS Technical Editor to establish guidelines for manuscript submission and formatting of accepted papers The Editor In Chief also maintains and updates the online manuscript review form website maintains records on all manuscripts submitted for peer review maintains records on all reviewers communicates with authors regarding progress of reviews and decisions on papers works with guest editors on special issues of PE RS serves as chair of the ASPRS Journal Policy Committee and interacts with organizations managing citation indexes The Editor In Chief provides an important service to ASPRS and the geospatial community that typically involves 12 20 hours of work per week ASPRS provides an annual stipend to the Editor In Chief and financial support to a part time editorial assistant and covers other out of pocket costs Qualifications Minimum qualifications for the Editor In Chief include an earned doctorate degree and at least 10 years of professional experience in an appropriate area of geospatial information science photogrammetry remote sensing GIS laserscanning georeferencing UAS technology etc and broad familiarity with the overall scope of geospatial science and experts in the various fields a record of peer reviewed published research familiarity with PE RS high level of English fluency and active membership in ASPRS Previous experience with reviewing and or editing peer reviewed publications is preferred but not compulsory To apply Applicants must submit a letter of application a resume and the names and contact information for 3 professional references Materials may be submitted electronically as attachments in email directed to Michael Hauck Executive Director ASPRS mhauck asprs org Review
