  • American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing 2011 Annual Conference

    as Student Assistants and Volunteers for this conference Students who apply for a Student Assistantship MUST be available to serve during the entire week of the conference Sunday May 1 through Thursday May 5 and MUST attend the orientation meeting on Sunday evening May 1 at 5 30 pm Benefits Students who are accepted to serve as Student Assistants receive complimentary conference registration complimentary lodging two students share a room from Sunday May 1 through Wednesday May 4 They also receive a 100 stipend when their full work assignments have been completed Both Student Assistant and Student Volunteers who are accepted to serve receive complimentary conference registration Any Student Assistant or Volunteer who works 7 5 hours in one day is eligible for a lunch stipend of 10 Miscellaneous Any student accepted to serve as either a Student Assistant or Volunteer must be able to cover their own transportation to and from the conference Volunteers must be able to cover their own lodging during the conference Only those Student Assistants or Volunteers who are assigned to an ASPRS Workshop as part of their volunteer duties may attend the assigned workshop at no cost All others who wish to attend a workshop must register for the workshop of their choice and pay the student registration fee These workshops are not part of the general conference registration fee Students who have never served as Student Assistants at a past ASPRS Conference will be given preference in the application review process It is the aim of the Student Assistantship Program to give as many students as possible an opportunity to benefit from these awards Please click on this link to read the Conference Student Assistant and Student Volunteer Guidelines Please click on this link to find the Student Assistant Application Form Please click

    HOTEL ROOM NUMBER This information is essential for the moderators to be certain that all presenters have arrived and are prepared to make their presentations All presenters must bring their own laptops for all presentations The location of this room will be announced in the Final Program that will be included with the on site registration materials you receive when you check in at the ASPRS Registration Desk We encourage all presenters to review their materials prior to their presentation What are Poster Presenters expected to do ASPRS provides to each poster presenter one side of a poster board measuring eight feet wide by four feet high and push pins All poster presenters should plan to arrive between 8 am and 10 am on the date they are scheduled to display their work and affix it to any available board All posters must be removed by 1 pm Friday May 5th ASPRS is not responsible for posters that are not removed All poster packaging must be removed from the poster area once posters are installed I am a part time student at an accredited institution do I qualify for student registration fee Anyone who is currently enrolled as a full or part time student at an accredited college or university may register at the student registration rates if they have not previously held ASPRS membership in another category e g someone who previously held full membership then returned to college cannot now register as a student You must submit your registration by fax to the number on the form with a copy of your student identification to qualify for the student registration fee Are Workshops included with the registration fees No Workshops require a separate registration fee in addition to the general conference registration fees Conference registration is not required to attend a workshop but early registration is advisable Availability is based on space We do not reserve spaces without full payment in advance and waiting lists are not maintained ASPRS reserves the right to cancel any workshop if the minimum number of registrations is not received by April 1 2011 On site registration will be available for confirmed workshops with available space Must I pre register for the conference No On site Registration will be located in the hotel However a deep discount is available to everyone registering at least 30 days prior to the conference start date Is there a charge for the User Group Meetings No the User Group Meetings are free of charge however some require advanced reservations Are Daily Registrations permitted for all categories Yes Daily registrations may be made in advance or on site However a deep discount is available to those who register at least 30 days prior to the conference start date If paying for a daily registration you may purchase social tickets for that day only May I bring a Guest to the conference Yes we welcome adult guests This is a professional conference and children under age 13 are not
