    TRAINING colleges school districts Teacher Credential Information Teachers must meet one of the two following requirements to be approved to teach a course for the Advanced Technical Credit Program Requirement 1 The teacher must have a baccalaureate degree or higher with a major in the teaching discipline Requirement 2 The teacher must have a minimum of an associate degree and three years of verifiable non teaching work experience directly related to the teaching discipline Teachers meeting Requirement 1 must have official transcripts showing degree sent to the ATC Approval Office directly from the college or university Teachers meeting Requirement 2 must have official transcripts showing degree sent to the ATC Approval Office directly from the college or university They must also submit full work history information to the ATC Approval Office This information is reviewed and only teachers who meet these requirements are approved for their eligible courses All information is scanned into an electronic database that is maintained by the ATC Approval Office at Lone Star College Original transcripts are on file at Lone Star College Colleges may obtain a link login and password to a website which will provide a listing of teachers in your local school districts

    for the Award of College Credit for Postsecondary Technical WECM Courses Summary of Criteria from the Standard Articulation Agreement 1 The high school course is listed in the Statewide Articulation Course Crosswalk and is equivalent to one or more high school credits 2 The student successfully completes the course with a grade of 80 3 0 or better 3 If multiple courses and or prerequisite courses are noted in the Statewide Articulation Course Crosswalk a student also successfully completes these course s with a grade of 80 3 0 or better 4 The student should complete the course as a junior grade 11 or senior grade 12 Or if the course is part of an ATC designated course sequence the final course in the sequence should be taken as a high school junior or senior 5 The student enrolls in a participating college within 15 months of high school graduation a college may extend this time line 6 Credit should be transcribed on enrollment however a college may require a student to complete 6 additional non developmental college credit hours in any subject area These hours may be satisfied before high school graduation by dual credit or qualifying scores on
