    Watershed Management will begin upgrading the Headworks Unit at the R M Clayton Water Reclamation Center The upgrades will improve existing screening and grit removal units to alleviate adverse effects to the downstream wastewater treatment processes improve operational reliability and avoid violations of the City s wastewater discharge permit The work will include the installation of new bar screens to remove large debris new grit removal units to remove coarse sand gravel and other large inert materials and a back up grit system to provide additional removal during heavy rains Significant construction work at the R M Clayton facility located at the intersection of Bolton Road NW and Marietta Blvd NW is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and will continue for the next two years The initial phase will include several months of granite blasting in order to expand the Headworks building While the end product will greatly improve our operations and ability to serve the community you can anticipate heavy noise dust ground movement and truck traffic in your area during the blasting period Prior to the commencement of blasting notices will be distributed to nearby residents and businesses As possible an anticipated blasting schedule will be
