  • Higher Education Admissions: Facing Challenges and Demonstrating Value | CASE Blog
was schools adaptations of academic offerings to align with the market I ve consistently found that enrollment results and the alignment of academic programs with the market are inextricably intertwined When institutions do not offer programs that support students career goals and labor market demands it is reasonable to assume that enrollment will suffer as a result The solution is to align an institution s programs with students career goals and areas of job opportunity Improvements in student outcomes and enrollment will follow With more effectively measured improvements in student outcomes including job placement institutions will be better equipped to demonstrate value to the public and more generally renew confidence in higher education By aligning programs more closely with student and labor market demand educational institutions can address some of the most urgent questions they face today and position themselves for a more sustainable future Share this Click to print Opens in new window Click to email Opens in new window Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Tumblr Opens in new window More Click to share on Google Opens in new window Like this Like Loading Related Tags admissions higher ed admissions measuring student outcomes sustainability of cost value of higher education Post navigation How Institutions Celebrated April Fool s Day in 2015 Weekly Highlights for April 3 2 responses to Higher Education Admissions Facing Challenges and Demonstrating Value Mosley Lauren April 2 2015 at 2 27 pm Reply Greetings I attempted to click on the link to the blog but it appears that it isnâ t working Suggestions Thanks Lauren C Mosley Assistant Director of Institutional Advancement Randolph School 1005 Drake Ave Huntsville AL 35802 256 799 6117 lmosley randolphschool net randolphschool net randolph logo Get in the loop Download the new alumni mobile app randolphschool net alumni mobileapp Evertrue logo CASE April 2 2015 at 4 31 pm Reply Hi Lauren It should open it does here It is a pdf Maybe try a different browser Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in Email required Address never made public Name required Website You are commenting using your WordPress com account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Twitter account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Facebook account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Google account Log Out Change Cancel Connecting to s Notify me of new comments via email Notify me of new posts via email Search Blog Search RSS RSS Posts Subscribe via Email Archives Archives Select Month February 2016 2 January 2016 9 December 2015 7 November 2015 12 October 2015 10 September 2015 7 August 2015 9 July 2015 15 June 2015 12 May 2015 14 April 2015 17 March 2015 9 February 2015 8 January 2015 6 December 2014 10 November 2014

  • Q&A on Duke University’s Google + Presence | CASE Blog
We have even held Hangouts via mobile devices live from Blue Devil Days our main student recruitment events We are really excited to keep pushing the envelope by trying new things on this platform Tips for using Google Browse the discover tab and find interesting things Google is featuring Search communities to see if there is a community already existing for your school hint it probably already exists so it s a good idea to find out who is active there Figure out what s trending on Google and use the hashtags to share your content as it makes sense Try a Hangout instead of a phone call the next time you have a virtual meeting Using the tool will help you get much more comfortable with it Keep it visual Google has more visual space in posts and cover art than Facebook does Make sure you are posting beautiful things with captions that sizzle Q How does Google compare with Facebook at your institution A Google isn t a replacement for Facebook it is a very different space We find that our audience on Facebook and Twitter is more interested in school pride and sports Our engagement on Google tends to be lower than on Facebook even though we have more followers on Google than on Facebook However engagement is growing and we get an especially good response to posts when we use keywords that are trending and apply that trend to our content Google also has a communities feature that is more searchable than Facebook groups Q What Google projects would you like to focus on in the future A I d like to leverage it for more departments and uses on campus For example we ve started thinking about how our career center and global education departments can use Hangouts On Air for advising and information sessions We re also excited about continuing to explore how we can use mobile devices to host video and connect with audiences across the world Share this Click to print Opens in new window Click to email Opens in new window Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Tumblr Opens in new window More Click to share on Google Opens in new window Like this Like Loading Related Tags admissions college admissions Duke University Google Hangouts Google Plus Google Hangouts on Air Post navigation Twitter Chat Recap Crowdsourced CASESMC Is an Instagram Takeover Right for Your Institution One response to Q A on Duke University s Google Presence Pingback Q A on Duke University s Google Presence Social Media at Duke Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in Email required Address never made public Name required Website You are commenting using your WordPress com account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Twitter account
