own way of doing things adapting best practices to its culture The Nordic Summit s opening speaker was John Hill higher education evangelist for LinkedIn Reflecting on John s job title I wondered if the work of CASE Europe is educational advancement evangelism There is some truth in this as advocacy forms an important part of CASE Europe s remit However as a volunteer driven organisation we are not imperialists we are driven from what s happening on the ground CASE Europe s 2014 Nordic summit 20 years after its predecessor happened because practitioners led by Corey Morris alumni relations manager for the school of business social sciences at Aarhus University made it happen No amount of evangelism can take away from the time is right to do something And so 20 years later the time is very much right for the Nordic advancement profession and the institutions they serve Tak thank you Copenhagen next year Helsinki Stockholm Share this Click to print Opens in new window Click to email Opens in new window Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Tumblr Opens in new window More Click to share on Google Opens in new window Like this Like Loading Related Tags advancement in Denmark CASE conference CASE Europe Copenhagen Nordic Summit University of Copenhagen Post navigation Crowdfunding Goes to Class Twitter Chat Recap Managing Time on Social Media Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in Email required Address never made public Name required Website You are commenting using your WordPress com account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Twitter account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Facebook account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Google account Log Out Change Cancel Connecting to s Notify me of new comments via email Notify me of new posts via email Search Blog Search RSS RSS Posts Subscribe via Email Archives Archives Select Month February 2016 2 January 2016 9 December 2015 7 November 2015 12 October 2015 10 September 2015 7 August 2015 9 July 2015 15 June 2015 12 May 2015 14 April 2015 17 March 2015 9 February 2015 8 January 2015 6 December 2014 10 November 2014 11 October 2014 10 September 2014 4 August 2014 9 July 2014 6 June 2014 4 May 2014 8 April 2014 6 March 2014 7 February 2014 7 January 2014 6 December 2013 4 November 2013 6 October 2013 6 September 2013 6 August 2013 10 July 2013 7 June 2013 7 May 2013 8 April 2013 5 March 2013 7 February 2013 10 January 2013 6 December 2012 2 November 2012 9 October 2012 5 September 2012 6 August 2012 7 July 2012 3 June 2012 5 May 2012 4 April 2012 3 March 2012 2 February 2012 4

Taking a hard look at an institution s strategic initiatives is the key to selecting an approach for effectively engaging audiences with social technologies Measurement return on investment and garnering support for initiatives is also key as highlighted by the seminars two final presentations First a panel session on measuring and monitoring social media considered different approaches to both qualitative and quantitative measurement and stressed the need for benchmarking I closed out the day featuring issues related to growing support for social media initiatives and reporting successes to peers managers and high level leadership In all the day s presentations provided a cohesive look at the issues that go well beyond starting a Facebook page or tweeting for the first time Strategic thinking and being true to the voice of your institution are major components of a successful implementation of social tools In case you missed the program in person learn more by following these links Beyond Social Media Storify Program listing on the CASE website Beyond Social Media presentations and handouts Share this Click to print Opens in new window Click to email Opens in new window Share on Facebook Opens in new window Click to share on LinkedIn Opens in new window Click to share on Twitter Opens in new window Click to share on Tumblr Opens in new window More Click to share on Google Opens in new window Like this Like Loading Related Tags best practices CASE conference CASE Europe ROI social media strategy Post navigation Twitter Chat Recap Facebook Engagement Twitter Chat Recap Social Media and Fundraising Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in Email required Address never made public Name required Website You are commenting using your WordPress com account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Twitter account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Facebook account Log Out Change You are commenting using your Google account Log Out Change Cancel Connecting to s Notify me of new comments via email Notify me of new posts via email Search Blog Search RSS RSS Posts Subscribe via Email Archives Archives Select Month February 2016 2 January 2016 9 December 2015 7 November 2015 12 October 2015 10 September 2015 7 August 2015 9 July 2015 15 June 2015 12 May 2015 14 April 2015 17 March 2015 9 February 2015 8 January 2015 6 December 2014 10 November 2014 11 October 2014 10 September 2014 4 August 2014 9 July 2014 6 June 2014 4 May 2014 8 April 2014 6 March 2014 7 February 2014 7 January 2014 6 December 2013 4 November 2013 6 October 2013 6 September 2013 6 August 2013 10 July 2013 7 June 2013 7 May 2013 8 April 2013 5 March 2013 7 February 2013 10 January 2013 6 December 2012 2 November 2012 9 October 2012 5 September 2012 6 August 2012 7 July 2012 3 June 2012 5 May
