    the conference are not eligible for the travel stipend This is a value of up to 900 to the institution By submitting an application the sponsoring school agrees to cover all other expenses related to conference attendance Although not required sponsors of the scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to attend the conference Each institution is limited to three nominations per award Recipients are expected to Register and attend the New Advancement Professionals Track optional for Advancing Diversity recipients Submit a professional headshot and agree to be recognized verbally and in conference publications Attend a special evening reception In addition to completing the appropriate application please also submit your resume to Dionne Lewis at or lewisdi umkc edu If you have questions feel free to call her at 816 235 6128 Recipients will be notified in early November and awards are distributed at the CASE VI conference If you have questions feel free to contact Dionne Lewis at lewisdi umkc edu or 816 235 6128 Advancing Diversity Scholarships The CASE District VI Board is committed to supporting the recruitment and retention of a more diverse workforce The cornerstone of our efforts is the Advancing Diversity Scholarship Each applicant for this scholarship must meet the following criteria American Indian Alaska Native Asian Black African American Hispanic Latino Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Multi racial LGBTQ or differently abled Currently hold a position in one of the three professional areas of advancement alumni relations communications marketing or fund raising Up to four scholarships are available While previous recipients are welcome to apply preference is given to people who have not received this award before CLICK HERE TO APPLY Deadline Sept 30 2015 New Professional and Emerging Student Scholarships There are up to six New Professional and two Emerging Student Scholarships available Previous recipients are

  • CASE DISTRICT VI Travel Management Policy and Expense Guidelines for Conference Faculty Volunteers
    be reimbursed for travel nor will registration fees be waived All negotiations with speakers must be confirmed in writing The conference chair program chair and district treasurer must receive copies of these agreements and agree to their terms prior to signing by the speaker Travel Speakers are encouraged to travel as inexpensively as possible Airfare train fare mileage and ground transportation are reimbursable Airfare reimbursement should be made by a travel allowance based on advance purchase coach fare The maximum airfare allowance is 700 To avoid any later misunderstanding the travel allowance including ground transportation and parking should be included as part of the written negotiations with the speaker Mileage rate will be reimbursed at the federal rate of actual mileage Rental Cars will not be reimbursed unless authorized in advance by the Conference Chair Lodging Speakers will be reimbursed for one night of lodging for each day they present Hotel reservations will be made through the Arrangements Chair at the host hotel If the speaker chooses to stay an additional night or not at the host hotel these will be at the speaker s expense Meals Meals that are offered by the conference breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday will not be reimbursed unless they occur while the speaker is traveling The District allows a maximum of 66 per day meal allowance in accordance with CONUS rate with receipts required for reimbursement Break out includes tips Breakfast 13 20 Lunch 19 80 Dinner 33 00 Alcoholic beverages will not be reimbursed Honoraria Speakers should be encouraged to contribute their time Expenses within reason can be paid for a top speaker if the budget permits Rates are to be negotiated between the track chair and speaker in consultation with the program chair Honorarium will be documented in the speaker
