    Management 70th Anniversary Open House What is a Special District Financial Information Strategic Plan 2014 2016 Organization and Staffing Plan Wastewater Cost of Service Study 2015 What s New Publications and Videos Public Notices and Public Review Documents Employment Contact Us Notice to Contractors Inviting Sealed Bids for Central Contra Costa Sanitary District Project 7291 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District District Martinez California invites and will receive sealed bids for furnishing all labor equipment materials and services specified for the construction of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District Project 7291 Pump and Blower Building Seismic Upgrades in conformance with the Contract The work generally consists of making seismic improvements to the Pump and Blower Building and the Machine Shop The estimated cost of construction is 3 250 000 The District at its discretion may add additional construction activities after Award of the Construction Contract The mandatory prebid meeting to discuss the Project will be held at 10 a m local time March 23 2016 in the District s Board Meeting Room at 5019 Imhoff Place Martinez California Contractors are required to attend the scheduled mandatory prebid meeting in order to be considered responsible bidders The District will receive bids at its receptionist area until 2 p m local time per the Atomic Clock April 6 2016 at 5019 Imhoff Place Martinez California at which time and place in the District s Board Meeting Room accepted bids will be publicly opened and declared aloud by the Secretary of the District and before the General Manager or his representatives NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED Project Documents the prospective bidder s list addenda prevailing wage rates and geotechnical reports if any are available for viewing without charge through the District website at http www centralsan org Construction Zone and may be examined at the District s Permit Counter 5019 Imhoff Place Martinez California The bid results will be available on the District website after the bid opening Geotechnical reports are not part of the Project Documents Geotechnical reports are provided for Bidders information and Bidders shall assume all risks concerning use of the geotechnical reports in preparing their bids Copies of the Project Documents and addenda may be obtained at the District s Permit Counter through PlanetBids at http www planetbids com portal portal cfm CompanyID 14663 or by calling Judy Freier at 925 229 7349 A complete set of Project Documents on CD is available at no cost each complete paper set of Project Documents is available for a nonrefundable fee of 50 Payment must be made at the time the documents are obtained at the Permit Counter or through PlanetBids Checks payable to Central Contra Costa Sanitary District and credit cards are accepted Inquiries regarding further information about the Project may be directed to Jason DeGroot at 925 229 7209 or jdegroot centralsan org Inquiries regarding directions to the District office and the location of the receptionist area may be

    sewer facility Facilities Eligible for Reimbursement Fees Types of Reimbursement Facilities Reimbursement fees may be established for standard facilities and or special facilities Standard facilities are defined as public mains local street and collector sewers are installed using conventional construction techniques and ordinary appurtenances to such public sewers such as manholes and rodding inlets Special Facilities are defined as public trunk sewers interceptor sewers pumping stations or public mains local street and collector sewers that require special unconventional installation techniques such as tunnels microtunnels creek or channel crossings requiring bridges trestles culverts and or channel modifications greater than 20 foot trench depth requiring use of trenchless technologies and or unusually costly shoring or traffic control measures or other nonstandard appurtenances of unusually high cost Eligibility to Establish Reimbursement Fees The installer of a public sewage facility that is a standard facility may apply to establish a reimbursement fee and account for the facility by making the post construction submittals as specified below To be eligible to establish a reimbursement fee and account for a special facility the prospective installer shall obtain the approval of the District prior to the issuance of a District permit for the construction of the facility The installer may apply to establish a reimbursement fee and account for the facility by making the preconstruction submittals as specified below To remain eligible to receive reimbursements after the District s acceptance of the special facility the installer must also complete the post construction submittals as specified below The District will determine whether establishing a reimbursement fee and account is justified by evaluating submittals from the installer If the District determines that properties other than those owned or to be developed by the installer could reasonably be physically connected directly to the facility in the case of standard facilities or could reasonably be served by the facility in the case of special facilities the installer will be eligible to establish a reimbursement account In addition the installer of a special facility will be eligible to establish a reimbursement account prior to construction on the special facility when properties which could reasonably be served by the special facility in the future receive interim service through the use of temporary facilities Installer Submittals Standard Facilities No later than six months after the District s acceptance of a standard facility the installer shall submit all of the following to the District A scale map delineating the standard facility as well as all parcels which could reasonably be physically connected directly to the standard facility A list of all parcels that could reasonably be physically connected directly to the standard facility including each owner s name address county assessor s parcel number and current zoning A statement disclosing any agreements regarding the sharing of the standard facility costs that exist between the installer and any other party or parties Contracts and receipts documenting to the satisfaction of the District the actual costs of engineering right of way construction and bonds for the standard
