    School home of the wildcats I am Marcy Hockfield proud Principal of Cedarbrook Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in our school and the Cheltenham School District I encourage you to explore our website and learn more about our award winning school and the people and programs that make Cedarbrook a great place for seventh and eighth graders to learn and grow Our team structure ensures that no student falls through the cracks We believe that when students are known to a core group of teachers and placed in challenging courses they will thrive Cedarbrook students experience a well rounded academic program with special offerings such as Science Olympiad Solar Cars Playwriting Literature Circles and Current Events After the school day Cedarbrook students are afforded the opportunity to take part in a myriad of athletic co curricular and service activities At Cedarbrook we understand that in order for our school and our students to be successful we must partner with families We have done this by creating active meaningful connections between home and school through our PTO and other parent organizations I hope you join one or more of our parent groups or volunteer opportunities Thank

    cultivate their voices A main goal of Cedarbrook Library is to provide all students with equitable access to information in all formats Thanks to a grant from the Cheltenham School District Foundation Cedarbrook Library proudly hosts our own Overdrive digital collection making us one of the first middle schools in the country to do so The Cedarbrook library endeavors to be the academic center of our school and serves as the heart of our grade wide cross curricular research and inquiry projects Because of our vast digital collection the Cedarbrook Library is always open for learning At Cedarbrook we believe that A library should not shush it should ROAR Valente About Our Librarian Mrs Peggy Cooper a Philadelphia native earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania Mrs Cooper holds PA instructional certifications in Library and Media Elementary Education Middle School English and Middle School Math She began her teaching career in the Cheltenham School District in 1992 Since 2011 Mrs Cooper has served as the Library Media teacher at Cedarbrook her ultimate dream job She also acts as English Department Coordinator Co

    five criteria scholarship leadership service character and citizenship The basic scholarship requirement is a cumulative average of 3 4 Academically eligible candidates will be evaluated on the basis of leadership service character and citizenship They must have an O or S for conduct and they can have no suspensions from school in house or out of school suspensions Selection is made by a majority vote of a Faculty Council consisting of five faculty members Each year the National Junior Honor Society completes one or more community service projects in which all the members of the society are involved This project could be oriented toward improving student leadership educating them as citizens working with and learning about senior citizens providing some learning about other cultures or performing some school service In addition individual members are expected to choose another area of involvement in line with their particular talents and interests This approach emphasizes the need for cooperative effort in service to the community while providing an opportunity for individuals to discover and develop their own unique contributions Whom to contact Peggy Cooper Position Library Media Teacher Email mcooper cheltenham org 215 881 6427 ext 4055 Application Materials available Online Part One
