    undermine our impressive victories in the state In Virginia we are launching an exciting new wave of efforts to take on the region s biggest climate polluters and remove the stranglehold they have on our state government and democracy And in DC we are working to pass two precedent setting bills to incentivize clean energy and cap carbon These are just a few of the exciting campaigns CCAN is undertaking About the Development Coordinator CCAN s Development Coordinator will reach out to current past and future individual supporters through face to face meetings and phone calls asking for larger and firmer commitments Additionally CCAN hosts fun and successful fundraising events each year that the Coordinator will manage and take to the next level As this is a new position for the organization we are also excited for the Coordinator to bring new innovative ideas to the table to strengthen our grassroots fundraising overall including new outreach efforts and or approaches to traditional ones supporter cultivation and appreciation and systems management Major Duties and Responsibilities Donor meetings Set up and execute 3 4 donor outreach drives a year including all of the preparation tracking and follow up involved These drives include regional travel and associated night and weekend hours Donor cultivation and communication Create and manage systems related to donor contact to ensure our most committed supporters are kept up to date on our campaigns and thanked for their gifts Donor prospecting Work with existing supporters and commonly used tools to bring in new support for CCAN Event fundraising Manage 2 3 fundraising events each year including the logistics outreach tracking and follow up involved Qualifications Minimum of 2 years professional experience preferably within the fundraising field though candidates will be considered with a strong track record in the organizing and

    from coal dust to power plant pollution to diesel truck traffic Recently South Baltimore residents have had to face yet another threat a dramatic increase in dangerous crude oil trains rolling through their backyards At the same time Baltimore residents have limited access to clean energy solutions including solar energy There s simply too much pollution in Baltimore and too few clean energy options Over the next two years CCAN s goals for our Healthy Communities Campaign are to fight ongoing fossil fuel pollution in Baltimore City including efforts to stop the increase in volatile crude oil trains that travel through downtown Baltimore to the Fairfield Peninsula in South Baltimore while promoting solar power expansion in low income neighborhoods in Baltimore About the Position CCAN s Healthy Communities Campaign Coordinator will coordinate our ongoing campaign to fight crude oil trains and other fossil fuels in Baltimore from building training and mobilizing our growing team of volunteers to recruiting prominent community and business leaders to stand with us to organizing creative actions that gain media attention and force city leaders to act In addition to fighting pollution our Healthy Communities Campaign Coordinator will launch our campaign to bring more solar projects to Baltimore and connect low income Baltimore residents with those projects from lobbying city and state officials to building partnerships with community groups and the solar industry to holding community meetings in neighborhoods across Baltimore to help residents learn how they can take advantage of existing solar programs and advocate for more Qualifications The qualified candidate will display the following capabilities and qualities B A or B S or equivalent organizing experience 3 5 years of demonstrated experience organizing racially diverse audiences experience organizing in Baltimore a plus Demonstrated experience with campaign planning coalition building lobbying and media outreach Strong
