    time of rapid change in the housing world What is CPD CPD is about tracking and documenting the skills knowledge and experience that you gain both formally and informally The CIH CPD scheme offers members a useful framework to help you stay up to date and in touch and provides you with support in managing your professional development What are the benefits of CPD The CPD process helps you manage your own development on an ongoing basis Its function is to help you record review and reflect on what you learn It s not a tick box document recording the training you have completed It s broader than that CPD is about capturing useful experiences and assessing the practical benefits of what has been learnt What can you do now that you couldn t do before How much CPD is required All CIH Chartered Members are required to undertake at least 20 hours of CPD a year All CIH Members are provided with an online CPD account in your MyCIH and are encouraged to use this beneficial service to support your individual professional development needs How do I record CPD You can log into your CPD account through the MyCIH area of the CIH website where you can add your own professional development and inter agency activities This will enable you to Plot your own progress and professional development Adapt your CPD record for internal employer progression reviews To access your CPD account Click on Login on the home page Log in using your membership ID as your username and your surname with the first letter as a capital as your password unless you have previously changed your password Click on continuous professional development CIH will automatically record a specific number of CPD hours for CIH activities you undertake You
