  • CMC : Project Settle
    need to maintain standards for volunteer mediators assigned by the Gallatin County Justice court the Project Settle Committee has established the following qualifications procedures and requirements for mediators Qualifications that must be met by the volunteer before being admitted into the program Complete of a basic mediation training program approved by the CMC Submit the completed application forms and fees Discuss the program with the Justice Court Program coordinator Adhere to the CMC s Standards of Practice Upon acceptance into the Project Settle Program a letter of confirmation and assignment of a mentor will be issued Mentoring Phase Observe a minimum of 3 mediations 2 with your mentor Co mediate a minimum of 5 mediations 2 with your mentor observing or co mediating Solo mediate 1 mediation observed critiqued by an experienced mediator Once the mentor has approved and reported the volunteer s progress through the mentoring process the volunteer now becomes eligible to conduct solo and or co mediations for the CMC s Project Settle There is certification for trained mediators in the state of Montana Application must be made through the Montana Mediation Association Expectations of Project Settle Mediators Completion of the Mentoring Program Mediate or observe at
