  • Time to Replace That Old Heater? NH Can Help. | Conservation New Hampshire
    Rebate Program administered by the NH Office of Energy and Planning provides rebates for replacement installations of high efficiency home heating systems as well as hot water heaters in existing homes for current NH electric propane oil and natural gas customers To be eligible the new systems must meet applicable efficiency requirements and must have been purchased on or after April 19 2010 Rebates range from 100 to 1000 depending on the system replaced The availability of funds is limited and as of May 18th 9 of available funds had already been claimed For more information including application steps please see the program website The Residential Solar Water Heating Rebate Program administered by the Public Utilities Commission provides a state rebate of between 600 to 900 funded by the state s Renewable Energy Fund This rebate can be combined with a 750 federal rebate for replacing existing heating systems with solar water heating systems that meet certain efficiency standards The application provides additional information on the two rebate programs So while we certainly wish the economic problems of the last few years hadn t happened if you ve been thinking about replacing an older heating system or making the first
