    Gear Up for Winter Support Gear Up for Winter and help 32 500 kids stay safe this season Click here for ways to get involved 10th Aniversary Gear Up for Winter Un Gala Thank you to all our 10th Anniversary Gear Up for Winter Un Gala supporters Boston Links About Us Events Directions FAQ Volunteer at the Giving Factory Host a Drive Donate Funds Boston Home College Corps Programs The Cradles to Crayons College Corps offers a meaningful experience with tangible social impact and the opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills The College Corps Program includes two different programs College Corps Departmental Internships and the College Corps Internship Program Below is information on each program Departmental Internships College Corps Departmental Internships are offered in three twelve week sessions each year Please inquire about receiving internship credit Spring February May Summer June August Fall October December Current internship opportunities for Fall 2015 Volunteer Coordination Intern You will gain skills in database management customer service and increase your knowledge and exposure to social enterprises Partner Relations Intern You will gain skills in various facets of the organization including gaining a deeper understanding of the Massachussets non profit landscape the importance of relationship management creating outreach materials and experiencing opportunities that directly contribute to our mission of serving children with the essentials they need Development Intern You will gain skills in fundraising and event planning and increase your knowledge and exposure to social enterprises National Expansion Intern You will gain skills in research analytics and increase your knowledge and exposure to social enterprises Internship Program Through this hands on experience college students will have the opportunity to gain skills to become a successful leader More information can be found here or by contacting Training and Volunteer Programs Coordinator Keri Wolfe at kwolfe cradlestocrayons

    12 30pm and 2 30pm 5 30pm This year we take a look back at 10 YEARS of helping children in need get through the harsh winter conditions MORNING SHIFT Highlights Appearances from some of your favorite Boston mascots including the Red Sox Wally the Green Monster New England Revolution s Slyde the Fox the Revs Girls NE Revolution player Scott Caldwell the Celtics Lucky the Leprachaun the Celtics Cheerleaders and face painting too 9 30am Registration Event registration and fun welcome activities especially for the kids 10 00am Give Back Sort inspect and package the warm winter essentials local children need to be safe and warm this winter 11 45am Lunch A delicious family style meal brought to you by our friends at Comella s 12 00pm Celebrate Impact A celebration of your service and commitment Hear from our special speaker watch a video about how important your impact is on local children and enjoy a tasty dessert AFTERNOON SHIFT Highlights A special appearance from one of your favorite Boston mascots New England Revolution s Slyde the Fox the Revs Girls see the magic of Bob Riordan get your face painted and get your picture taken with three Red Sox World Series trophies 2 30pm Registration Event registration and fun welcome activities especially for the kids 3 00pm Give Back Sort inspect and package the warm winter essentials local children need to be safe and warm this winter 4 45pm Dinner A delicious family style meal brought to you by our friends at Comella s 5 00pm Celebrate Impact A celebration of your service and commitment Hear from our special speaker watch a video about how important your impact is on local children and enjoy a tasty dessert Cradles to Crayons Annual Un Gala is a special holiday tradition that highlights our Gear Up For Winter program in a festive day of hands on service Families with children and companies work side by side during this unique celebration that combines philanthropy with volunteer engagement on behalf of children in need Click here for more photos from 2014 Winter Let s take a moment to remember winter Even when we re bundled up we feel how sharp the coldness can be icy fingers frozen toes runny noses But picture this there is a foot of snow it s 20 degrees and you have to wait for the bus when you only have one light jacket to cover two layers of too small shirts Your sleeves don t cover your wrists you don t have gloves your shoes aren t waterproof and all the clothes that you have layered on are all that you have That is reality for the thousands of children we will serve A Massachusetts winter brings snow below freezing temperatures and puts children without adequate protection at risk for cold weather illness and injury For thousands of local children living in poverty staying warm is a struggle indoors and outside Learn more about sponsorship packages here You
