    are DEC Professional Development Hours PDHs One professional development hour PDH represents one clock hour spent in a planned continuing education experience that is relevant to professionals in the field of early intervention early childhood special education and related disciplines DEC professional development hours are facilitated by professionals who have gone through a three step peer review process detailed in our Call for Proposals Which conference sessions provide DEC PDHs You can earn DEC PDHs for all conference sessions including preconference workshops spotlight sessions posters one hour sessions two hour sessions roundtable conversations and the practitioners marketplace Activities that are not eligible for PDHs include meetings exhibit hall and social events You may earn up to 20 hours by attending eligible sessions What are the requirements to receive DEC PDHs You must be registered for the DEC Conference You must attend a session in full to claim it for PDHs How will I claim and receive credit All conference attendees will receive a certificate of attendance which is provided in the DEC Conference program booklet If attendees need to submit additional documentation to their employer or for state licensure a link to a transcript form is available here The form will prompt attendees to select which sessions you attended during the DEC Conference Attendees will have through November 30 to enter all their sessions via the transcript form Attendees must submit all the information at once Attendees who submit this information will receive a transcript A transcript from DEC costs 25 This payment can be made at the DEC Conference Solutions Desk located near the Exhibit Hall during the conference What will my PDH transcript include Your transcript will list all the sessions you attended Your transcript also serves as additional confirmation of attendance Some employers and states only require
