    EK duniya anEK awaaz Climate Change Action Appropriate Technology Choice OneWorld South Asia Info Indian company launches iPad for autistic kids 05 April 2012 SAP Labs India unveiled Bol iPad for children suffering from autism a neurological development disability The Bol iPad intends to improve and enhance their learning and communication skills Bangalore To mark World Autism Awareness Day on April 2 SAP Labs India launched Bol an iPad application built to assist individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD as a part of its hAPPfy project which aims at providing free applications to improve the daily lives of people The application is customisable to suit the needs of autistic children in India The aim is to make an application that parents and educators of the children can configure themselves based on their needs Bol integrates three key elements auditory record a voice over description visual take a picture and instant feedback allowing children under ASD not just associate objects with sounds but also gain a comprehensive understanding of the environment around them The application will be made available free of cost We have developed Bol with the specific intent of helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to find easier
