    they got there but hey it was just FANTASTIC for those four clubs to bring that many people Food as usual was very tasty desserts were served to you at the table and this year we had a coffee and cake table the drinks were cold and the dance floor was crowded with happy feet dancers Everything needed for a good time was in place We gave out some awards last night Person of The Year went to Toni Nespola for her many years as DRYL Pageant Chairperson her work with the princesses and her undying commitment to the league pageant Toni had been nominated numerous times over the years but was always overshadowed NOT OVER LOOKED And in her very humble way she accepted it graciously thanking her supporters and thanking The League for what we did her from the time she was Princess of WYC to DRYL Queen and now Pageant Chairperson Toni is truly an asset to the league The GST Group awarded The DRYL Club Of The Year to Nehaminy Harbor Yacht Club for their support and camaraderie to the clubs up and down river and Joe Campbell was given another thank you award for his work on banquets in the past as well as for his help this year It was a nice time to see some faces that we have not seen since last summer get to meet and make some new friends and hang out with some ol friends All in all it was a great night in February giving us a little tease of what s to come this upcoming boating season Let me finish by adding Our Officers Delegates and Committees Heads all work hard for YOU ME and the League volunteering their time efforts and want expect nothing in return

  • Dingy Poker Run
    zone at Jimmy Anderson s boat Rock N N Reel N The dinghy s left Jimmy s boat and went to the other end of the island just off of West End Boat Club to Kevin Huntley s boat Nasty Boy The next stop was the West End Boat club where everyone got there together got their cards and sat down and relaxed with a drink and some food The next stop was Riverside Yacht Club We all received our cards and hung out around there for some more good times The final stop and where the cards were handled was at Harbor Light Yacht Club where we had our hot dog and hamburger picnic Throughout the day on each stop everyone used their water guns and water balloons It was a great day for a water fight on the hot sunny day The final winners were as followed Robin 200 00 First Place PJ McTiernan 100 00 Second Place Joey Gricco 50 00 Third Place Ted Archer Jr 50 00 Fourth Place We want to thank all of you who participated in this event it was a huge success The clubs were very hospitable and the people made it

  • waved in the breeze all day What a site that was He even signed it as well I think a tradition has just started Every morning when we awoke we were at a new port except for Friday when we had a day at sea which made for a great trip We started off in Ft Lauderdale cruised to Key West made our way to Cozumel Mexico then off to The Cayman Islands and then we spent Valentine s Day in Montego Bay Jamaica Close to 1500 NM were traveled and we were cruising in 20 25 knot range With over 3000 people food drink fuel water and all the interior furnishing I still find it hard to believe that these ships cruise that fast The service the food and the shows and the plethora of frozen drinks made for an excellent 6 days and Mother Nature played a part by keeping foul weather out of the picture Speaking of pictures I want to thank Bob Libby FSA Ebb Tide for his picture taking ability as he got us some great pics of the DRYL Flag flying high above the Radiance Of The Seas I will be posting pictures that I took and many others have promised me that their pictures will be sent to me shortly so we should have some great amusing and amazing pictures up here over the next couple of weeks Some high lights Cherry Vanilla Chris Salvador FSA coming in second in the belly flop competition Past President Bob Bocock YAC being on stage doing his best dog impressions in an Old MacDonald Had A Farm Skit Yours truly coming in second place in a Texas Hold Em Tournament Get this 1 st Place was cash a cruise for 2 in December and a chance

    kitchen and served the 173 players who started at Bristol I also want to thank the other 2 starting point clubs Farragut SA which had 81 players start there and West End BC who had 49 players start there Also lets not forget the stop clubs Penna YC Quaker City YC Wissinoming YC Bridesburg OBC Harbor Light YC Riverside YC and Raccoon Creek BC for all their help again this year These clubs all come through for us and make this day what it is a very enjoyable day on the river where we get to visit some wonderful clubs and the chance to meet some good people along the way and hopefully make some new friends which will lead to long relationships on the river between the members and the clubs So again thanks to everyone who came out and kudos to the hosting clubs This year we had over 300 people attend The official count was 303 and the prize money was close to 4800 This years winners were 1st Place Tony Coyle Bordentown YC 4 Jacks 2394 2nd Place Greg H Yapewi AC Full Boat Queens over Sixes 1197 3rd place Tom Club Unknown As Of Now
