    masses who watched the inmates go to the death camp this can happen again if we do not learn from the facts of deceiving politics and mass ignorance to which none of us are immune today The afternoon began with a band rehearsal and the collecting of a local Belarus Ukrainian dance and music group from Jena Twenty one children and adults performed then in the railway museum amidst the locomotives of the past Children danced disco hip hop and traditional dances from their parents home lands The adults sang in a choir to the melody of an enchanting accordion masterly played and accompanied by traditional wooden spoons for percussive effects Kalinka echoes today in our ears The Weimarer group from Stellwerk Theater performed open air The turntable for locomotives was the set for the social theatre group which was a cry for more understanding of the youths dilemma today Parental expectations projected into young minds torment and cause depressive aggressive children When will they ever learn when will they ever learn A late coming troop of children from a Bavarian school on a school outing were nevertheless invited in to see the exhibitions and Uwe the railway museums association

    was placed in our mobile food box Last checks were made and the water bottles food and the last bags stashed away for the journey We began the journey to France with a last view of Uwe standing between the locomotives bidding us farewell Through Uwe we thank all the team and slide out onto the road with our two vans and trailer full of artists and equipment Bob and Miguel take the first driving shift then Peter and Grzegorz then Judith and Philippe They get the worst of it almost four hours of traffic jams around Paris We had taken the detour route around Paris on the francilienne a road which by passes all the towns around Paris running on the South side from the A4 Paris Metz to the A13 Paris Rouen Bob and Miguel took over again and went as far as the route national 20 which took us away from further traffic jams and dropped South to Etampes and Orleans where we picked up the A10 Paris Bordeaux and headed for Tours The last five kilometres from Cinq Mars la Pile to Mazieres were being counted in its fragments of metres by Philippe who was beginning

    the artists had agreed to meet up at 2 pm to do whatever is necessary Thomas and Judith came to Marie Christines and Jean Charles house to have lunch with Bob and Patrick The rendevous at 2 pm was in the main hall of exhibition and Bekir and Patrick set up their works Five other local artists will join them in the exhibition making a really full house with a lot to see The band set up for a rehearsal in the middle of Patricks mega phones and his European speed car map Bekir set off to see his cousin in Orleans the Belarus are like the Irish you can find them everywhere The band needed time to get going because some of them were shown the wine cellars and poire reserves of their host families poire is the local drop of the pure Mon dieu quelle experience a bord de la Loire After a while the music swung into a good group effect and the reheaersals continued in a sobering but creative manner In between Grzegorz arrived and told of a new spiritual instrument he found at his hosts home we are all eager to see this messenger of the heavens sent to beget the hands of Grzegorz the Cosmic Echo Tomorrow We moved the equipment to the school cantine which is next to the stage being set up in the morning so we do not have far to carry material to and from the stage The bar tent and stage tent are set up and ready along with other stalls to house local artisans from the region for the two days Thierry the mayor was very busy helping everywhere a helping hand is needed and used his tractor to fetch straw for the pirate group Quatre Pieces de
