    just ten minutes walk from the centre of town and yet embedded in tranquil water ways with swans and ducks pleasantly promenading the calm surroundings with safe havens of reeds for breeding At 10 am it was time for Bob to accompany Grzegorz to the city hall the Stadhuis for his concert On arrival in town Grzegorz began immediately to set up and tune his zithers He decided to use the old wooden table in the reception hall to place his zithers because it was a natural resonance body for the instruments Johan Kuiper adopted all artists who were not busy at that time for a guided tour through the citycenter under his wings and nice annecdotes and historical facts In the meantime Bekir Viorica Arjen Bouw a local actor and Robert were busy with the childrens workshops in the Mozaiek School in Deventer and the band was rehearsing in a side building Grzegorz s concert was an hour of audible bliss as his music echoed through the hall and everyone congratulated him after he finished A meal in the restaurant of the city hall was organised and then back to the Havenquartier Patrick and Bob then caught up with the documentation material and the reports At 6 pm was the official meeting with the mayor of Deventer Andries Heidema who was really interested in the whole exhibition and the Culture Trail His warm words of greeting the Culture Trail in Deventer were sincere and he then joined the team for the evening meal made by Jean Klare a Deventer artist who enjoys cooking for groups like ours when no set menu is asked for and he can use his experience and imagination and combine them in trumping with a more creative cuisine delicious Judith Antonio and Thomas were the

    already at the round table where Bob joined them There were plenty of cultural operators present and the main topic of discussion was the Culture Trail its meaning its beginning and its aims A very interesting discussion emerged concerning artists work and the function of the institutions how these two bodies meet at present and how the future can show more progress in working closer together in awareness of common goals and aims The evening meal was Asian and was a variety of Indonesian and Chinese foods The Dutch are really spoiling the team most of whom will find it difficult to go back to their bachelor diet at the end of the tour After a few relaxing hours the evening programme started with soundscapes poetry and video performance by Mia Mia Her haunting texts were floating on the waves of sound and pictures creating new communication forms of the spoken word its root its meaning uncovering the essence of unspoken emotion Almar Otten and Heleen Bosma are a couple and both authors They are really well known to all the locals Almar is best known for his thrillers which take place in Deventer Heleen is the city poet until 2011 Their depth and humor in the spoken word is a reminder of the importance of the language and how each word paints a picture in the sub conscience which we hardly recognize consciously but feel with our hearts when the word strikes the chord of our souls Then it was time for the Culture Trail band to play Their hosts from the boat Fransien and Bert had taken time extra to come over and listen to them The band played to a welcoming audience their sound perfected by the sound engineer Elio Debets from Studio Delta Beats which resides
