  • Deventer, Second Day
Deventer Patrick was already at the round table where Bob joined them There were plenty of cultural operators present and the main topic of discussion was the Culture Trail its meaning its beginning and its aims A very interesting discussion emerged concerning artists work and the function of the institutions how these two bodies meet at present and how the future can show more progress in working closer together in awareness of common goals and aims The evening meal was Asian and was a variety of Indonesian and Chinese foods The Dutch are really spoiling the team most of whom will find it difficult to go back to their bachelor diet at the end of the tour After a few relaxing hours the evening programme started with soundscapes poetry and video performance by Mia Mia Her haunting texts were floating on the waves of sound and pictures creating new communication forms of the spoken word its root its meaning uncovering the essence of unspoken emotion Almar Otten and Heleen Bosma are a couple and both authors They are really well known to all the locals Almar is best known for his thrillers which take place in Deventer Heleen is the city poet until 2011 Their depth and humor in the spoken word is a reminder of the importance of the language and how each word paints a picture in the sub conscience which we hardly recognize consciously but feel with our hearts when the word strikes the chord of our souls Then it was time for the Culture Trail band to play Their hosts from the boat Fransien and Bert had taken time extra to come over and listen to them The band played to a welcoming audience their sound perfected by the sound engineer Elio Debets from Studio Delta
