  • The Cure for Regret | Expanding Light
years It was wrong to bog my mind down with regret or to define myself as I had been Instead I should look at the quality I was missing at those times Perhaps it was kindness willingness courage or selflessness Instead of bogging down in regret I should now let that quality flow through me through my actions through my prayers and meditations Focus on the positive qualities instead of the seeming lacks A friend of mine lost her husband after just a few years of marriage She had regrets about some of her actions or attitudes in the marriage Swamiji s guidance to her was Don t allow your mind to focus on regrets instead focus on your gratitude for all the good This entry was posted in Superconscious Living Bookmark the permalink Comments Ramana says April 18 2015 at 3 27 pm What a wonderful way to re frame our regrets and help us move past our previous mistakes Reply Dambara says May 5 2015 at 7 32 pm Thank you Anandi very useful Reply Megan says May 6 2015 at 5 14 pm I agree very useful I ve been dealing with a lot of shame and regret for the past several months despite not having made any really bad choices lately and it s so intense that I m starting to think I m supposed to be consciously working through it for spiritual growth Reply Nayaswami Anandi says May 6 2015 at 5 25 pm Dear Megan Nice to hear from you it s been a long time Perhaps the regret is something that needs to be looked at as you say but our egos are extremely skilled at getting us to keep our minds small to keep ourselves locked in thinking about ourselves What if you try to focus your mind strongly at the spiritual eye and declare to your shame regret Get thee behind me as Jesus did to Satan It has a lot of power to declare to darkness loudly Get out Also determining to keep your mind at the spiritual eye has a lot of power Our intellects are not too good at figuring our way out of our subconscious habits blessings and joy to you Anandi Reply Kanchana says July 7 2015 at 6 13 pm Thank you Anandi I always feel like that for my dad Reply Leonore Alaniz says July 9 2015 at 9 48 pm Greetings Anandi Nayaswamis sharing their insights soothes a many spirits This one is useful for anyone You have not just let go but transformed the feeling of regret into Joy Thank you Reply Anandi says July 9 2015 at 9 50 pm Thank you Leonore so nice to hear from you again Blessings to you Anandi Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked Name Email Website Comment Have posts you are interested in sent to you when they are published Help the Expanding
