  • Quitting Tobacco
t really taste good it s simply because I am a little stubborn that I continue to smoke During the first days I had new tension in my jaw quickly appeased with Dandelion FES flower essence a few drops massaged in and 20 minutes later nothing more I noticed also that when I smoke I have problems with my solar plexus my upper stomach stretches and has a disagreeable bloating sensation There also a massage with Dandelion allows it to appease I think that it s a reaction from the Yarrow Environmental Solution it cleans the body detoxifying it Also during this time I add the stress of work into the mix while smoking it s all perhaps something else but my intuition tells me that Yarrow Environmental Solution complains about my lack of seriousness During times when I am not smoking I have neither a desire nor need for nicotine in fact I am calm and the idea to compensate by eating doesn t come to me even in spirit I don t have the impression of being in a period of withdrawal I think that I could have been able to stop smoking after 2 4 days but I slipped back because I wanted to know how it could be done with those of us very hard headed smokers WEEK 2 On the second of May one week after the beginning of the experience I made the decision to stop During this second week I had my water bottle with flower essences with me at all times From the moment of the decision to quit these essences may if you prefer be added to the bottle Cherry Plum and Mountain Pennyroyal I already had them so I added them in my bottle Cherry Plum Mt Pennyroyal I have come to the point of smoking 2 3 cigarettes the entire week but I was happy to note that this didn t really disrupt my withdrawal Do note however that this sensation doesn t necessarily make you need or want to smoke 2 3 times a day but if we are not careful this old link could reconnect and then it will be necessary to start all over again I gained nonetheless four pounds which I lost 10 days later WEEK 3 At the end of the second week I had no desire to drink as much water I decided instead of the water bottle to continue but with a 1 oz flower essence bottle including 3 4 drops of each essence to take directly 4 5 times a day CONCLUSION Nearly two months without smoking my weight remains the same This is a method very easy to follow no irritations nor really any strong sense of deprivation Being with people who smoke after the withdrawal does not pose problems You can have an evening with smokers who are friends without the smoke disturbing you You can also permit yourself to smoke one or two but not more without jeopardizing

  • Plant Study: Cosmos
multitude of seeds that emerge from each blossom The blossom s color signature shows a yellow center symbolizing a strong solar plexus chakra with a radiating aura of mauve or magenta which seems to symbolize the sacralizing of the will by spiritual awareness This suggests aid to those who feel afraid to assert their will in the world because they are never quite sure whether their motives are informed enough by the highest possible consciousness The gestural shape of the blossom a broadly opened cup turned towards the sun and the heavens indicates a character of openness and receptivity to messages from outside of the earthly realm Another strongly marked signature is the sturdy well balanced bilateral branching habit from the largest stems to the tiniest protrusions on the leaflets This motif of equality and balance suggests the astrological sign of Libra the scales which in fact rules the latter part of the Cosmos growing season This signature suggests a resonance with equity fairness justice balance and the hearing of both sides of an issue Finally Cosmos has a strong numerical signature associated with the numbers 2 and 8 See entry for geometry mathematics B Orientation in space The perfectly cylindrical stems are generally vertical in orientation to the ground Lower branch like secondary stems grow out from the main stems more or less parallel to the ground but within several inches begin to curve upwards at an angle so that they eventually become relatively vertical stems Upper stems angle up and out sharply from the main stem usually at less than 45 degrees Both the leaves and the flower heads are oriented more or less horizontally to the ground When not blowing in the wind the flower heads turn slightly towards the sun Breezes cause the Cosmos flowers to turn their backs shielding the central fertile discs downwind with the undersides of the ray flowers forming a windbreak Geometry There is much symmetry and balance The numbers 2 and 8 are most strongly represented Regarding the number 2 the flower stems and leaves grow in pairs They are paired in two ways each flower stem is paired with a leaf stem emerging from a joint and each flower leaf pair is matched by another flower leaf pair on the direct opposite side of the stem So each joint or juncture incorporates a total of 4 stems 2 twos Every blossom stem carries the potential to produce doubled pairs of leaves and blossom stems along its length The individual leaves reproduce this repetition of paired elements Each composite leaf comprises a series of lobes which are essentially paired bilaterally except for a last single lobe which grows straight out at the tip Regarding the number 8 each blossom begins with an outer bract in the shape of an 8 pointed star An inner set of 8 smaller bracts form the covering of the blossom bud When the blossom opens a ring of 8 large magenta ray florets dominate its appearance And as the tiny center florets first begin to open at first just 8 of them are centered at the meeting points between the 8 rays The center disc of tiny yellow florets is organized in the well known spiral pattern most recognizable in the much larger sunflower members of the Compositae or Asteraceae family I have counted 13 strands in the Cosmos spiral Mathematics In the Kabbalah the 8th path Hod is known as Splendor or the Lightning Path It is the sphere of the intellect of Divine Reason or Universal mind 1 Dr Eakins also notes that Hod is associated with thinking intellectual reasoning verbal expression and communication as well as skills symbols metaphors and wit The number 2 is Chokmah Wisdom also associated with the Father yang creative energy outer values outward knowledge wisdom and ideas 2 According to Paul Foster Case the number 8 is the particular number of Thoth Hermes and Mercury as well as the Number of the Lord in Christianity and the numerical value of the name Jehovah Case states that the number 8 relates to rhythm alternating cycles and all pairs of opposites being recognized as effects of a single Cause 3 C Botanical plant family Cosmos bipinnatus also commonly called Mexican aster is a member of the Compositae or Asteracea e family the largest family of vascular plants which includes sunflowers asters daisies yarrows echinacea arnica coreopsis chrysanthemums marigolds zinnias thistles ragweed dandelions burdock and even artichokes lettuce and endive This family generally bears rounded or circular blossoms which comprise tightly packed disc communities of florets at the center and longer ray florets often of a contrasting color around the perimeter D Cycles of Time Cosmos is an annual completing its lifespan from seed back to seed during a single growing season Different sources give the flowering times as variously August September June to first frost or spring to autumn In the patch observed in this study first shoots only began to appear around Summer Solstice which this year coincided with the end of the unseasonably late rains The first buds began opening in early July now after one month the whole community of Cosmos plants seems to be going strong with many buds still beginning to form and some young plants still emerging I would anticipate continued growth and blooming at least through August Many of the Compositae family whether annuals or perennials are late summer to autumn bloomers Cosmos has a growth pattern in which each plant has numerous blossoms at every stage of development In its prime an individual Cosmos will simultaneously have tiny flower buds still beginning to emerge lower on its stems while some seedpods are already scattering their seeds So within its own life cycle an adult plant presents a gestalt of all the stages of life from birth to transition to potential rebirth E Environmental ecosystem relationships Covered under entry 3 F Four elements Air The most predominant elemental characteristic of Cosmos is its

the plant Structure venation The ray florets are linear but ovate with smooth edges coming to a dull point at the end There are 8 12 parallel veins running the length of the florets which thus resemble a monocotyledon leaf By contrast the leaves have three linear veins including one central vein and two side veins that branch out at the base of the leaf curve out and then rejoin the central vein at its narrow and pointed tip However between these veins the leaves have an intricate web work of veins that divide the leaves into many small segments The uppers leaves have slightly serrated edges and this serration becomes much more pronounced in the lower leaves The lower leaves are almost trapezoidal in shape with a large base that gradually narrows to an end point The upper leaves are more ovate However in both the widest part of the leaf is found at about one quarter of its linear dimension Small new leaves appear at the axils of the lower leaves However there are no leaves in the upper region of the stem as it approaches the flower at its apex Under the flower head is the involucre the circle of bracts that forms the base of the flower head similar to a calyx in a simple flower There are two to three rows of these bracts phyllaries which hang downward from the flower head and are pointed They have a slightly concave cross section trough like and are sometimes recurved back at the end At the margin between the phyllaries and the tubular florets is the circle of ray florets However one can see a metamorphic leap from the downward pointing phyllaries and the upward pointing tubular florets Color The tubular florets are green at their base

  • Book Review: Floral Acupuncture
of quantum physics one being that water acts as the conductor of a molecule s signature frequency In conclusion according to Craydon and Bellows The perfect harmonics of the floral template contained in the memory of the water will through electromagnetic resonance stimulate the water clusters in the receptive acupuncture point and communicate this information through the meridian system In this way the whole body receives vibratory communication and realigns itself to match this template Profound healing occurs when inner and outer nature harmonize with one another What makes for a correct fit of flower essence to acupuncture point is a harmonic resonance between the vibrational structure of the essence and the vibrational structure of the water cluster in the acu point It is this harmonic resonance that stimulates the point into oscillation The applications of essences on their corresponding acu points as presented in the book are the result of fourteen months of clinical research with flower essences specifically those made according to the indications of Dr Bach The essences were systematically tested on the body to find specific acupuncture points that matched the frequency of each particular essence The authors began by applying an essence to the various meridian source points to test which meridian each essence was most compatible with To match fully a flower essence to a meridian they set the requirement that it had to flower through the entire meridian opening the cranial plates in the head They did further testing to find a flower essence s most fully resonant acupuncture point We were always rewarded by a tremendous renewal of vibrant energy when we found the most resonant site An overview of application methods is presented as well as an explanation of the synthesis between each of the essences and corresponding acupuncture points Photographs

  • Affirmations
firm the structures of the soul for meeting these challenges Dissonance and Resonance Soul Alchemy Taking self responsibility for inner change quickly brings the recognition that there are no panaceas which can instantly cure True healing is an organic step by step process which gradually leads to inner mastery At the first stage of engaging an affirmation we typically need to open to the pain of our predicament For example an affirmation may champion courage and clarity yet inside we may feel confused and afraid Rather than avoid the affirmation or suppress one s conflicted feelings the opportunity is there to live with the sting and tension of the contradiction The interval between one s spiritual potential and the present situation is enormously fruitful for transformation As the soul registers and acknowledges this dissonance it strives to find a harmonic concordance Through this creative process the words of the affirmation work incrementally to become resonant and firm As the plant grows and blossoms in its dance between light and dark so also do the creative forces of the human soul emerge Therefore the affirmations are intended to lead the individual from an honest recognition of a state of mind or feeling toward a process of soul alchemy They suggest past present and future potentials of consciousness The soul is called to acknowledge the present pain or conflict and work toward resolution and integration until it radiates the awakened virtue The affirmations call upon the I AM awareness of the Self This is not the lower personality or the ego but the voice of the Higher Self which has divine awareness of the spiritual world Regardless of one s religious or spiritual affiliation this awareness of the I AM is a sacred and eternal truth Practical Techniques for Anchoring Affirmations Marriage of Word and Image Choose the affirmations with sensitive receptivity Invite the words and flower images to speak to you at a deep level As you intensify the process allow the beauty of the flower in its form and colors to meld with the words until an internal realm within your soul is illumined Meditate the words silently or speak them aloud in a manner that allows you to breathe your entire being and focus of attention into the words and accompanying flower image Eventually this experience will become so potent that it ignites a living fire within the soul Soul Hygiene and Clarity Avoid the temptation to engage many affirmations rapidly for their power cannot genuinely benefit the soul in that manner Affirmations are best utilized in a gradual incremental way Select one to three affirmations that are central to the developmental journey You may wish to work with the affirmations for all that you choose at one time Also consider building rhythmic intervals in which you attend to one flower each consecutive day with every third or fourth day beginning a new sequence Rather than cluttering or overwhelming the mind it is best to use the affirmations in
