    a user who enters the query green tea life quality and metastasize is cancer although any twelve year old would understand this immediately Econometric studies have established that 15 16 of all queries from the general public to major search engines are such queries We call these N Dimensional queries and we describe a mechanism Knowledge Correlation that is uniquely able to produce relevant search results from N Dimensional queries Knowledge Correlation is a synthesis of Search more accurately digital asset Discovery Information Extraction and Knowledge Discovery When in the Correlation Search Engine a user enters an N Dimensional Query sources input to the process are selected by a simple calculation of potential contribution to an answer space Selected sources are termed resources which are then subject to an information extraction process which scrapes all knowledge fragments from the resource into a data store Each knowledge fragment retains a bibliographic reference to the resource from which it was extracted Then a computationally intensive association process attempts to build chains of knowledge fragments into correlations bridging each term of the N Dimensional Query The result is the answer space To determine the most relevant resource and to rank the resources the answer space is analyzed Those resources that most significantly contributed to the answer space are found in fact to be the most relevant and the ranked listing of relevant resources is returned to the user Correlation technology is able to create knowledge fragments and build correlations with a high degree of accuracy even without benefit of a large semantic infrastructure This unique process is able to connect the dots and approximate human thought processes and comprehension when working from a sufficiently large corpus of digital assets The economic significance of Correlation Technology is clear from the lost value of context
