    the environment of our water use by coupling it with measures to reduce the negative impact The new regulations have added complexity to water permitting in the state and in order to make an impact both environmental groups and towns will need substantial help navigating the new permitting as it rolls out Family Support Grants Bethany Hill Place Framingham Funding will support Bethany Hill Place s Pathways to College programs designed to create a sustainable and effective culture of learning literacy self confidence and ambition among our children and adolescents from young ages through the high school years Cooperative Elder Services Lexington Funding will support The Forum for Family Caregivers a free educational opportunity for family caregivers from the MetroWest region with a focus on the needs of those with early young onset Alzheimer s disease and the unique caregiving challenges This grant will assist with outreach and marketing efforts refreshments and printed materials as well as cover staff expenses Employment Options Inc Marlborough Funding will support the growth and further development of Catering Options a social enterprise by hiring staff and improving the kitchen space and equipment to help increase the number and diversity of catering clients and train more individuals in culinary skills This will increase part time employment opportunities ensuring that members have consistent annual job placements and create a sustainable income to operate the program English At Large Woburn Funding will support English At Large s unique English language instruction programs in MetroWest to help new immigrants and refugees in the region begin to acquire the language skills and cultural knowledge necessary to adapt to a new life in the United States Family ACCESS West Newton Funding will support the Waltham family project of the Counseling and Consultation program CCS for low income families and young pregnant parenting teens and their children The program will continue to work to stabilize vulnerable families prevent child neglect and abuse and ensure young parents care for themselves as well as their children to reach their full potential Family Promise MetroWest Natick Funding will support their newest initiative Steps to Success Program designed to break the cycle of poverty by assisting parents in reaching their highest earning potential and supporting children in planning for further education that will ensure a successful future Friends of the Waltham Family School Funding will support the Waltham Family School Interactive Literacy IL program that serves low income immigrant families with limited education opportunities and limited access to family support services especially those families with children with special needs This grant will specifically help add a second IL teacher fund transportation costs for parents and strengthen the program model by funding staff time for the adult English teachers and IL teachers to plan together once a month Hope and Comfort Inc Waltham Funding will support the expansion of the Stock the Shelves program which places critical personal hygiene products including soap toothpaste and deodorant at local food pantries so it can get into the hands

    Arts Culture Environment or Family Support In addition if your organization serves youth you may be eligible to apply for a Youth Development grant Please email Mary Crowley for more information Does the Foundation provide operating support Yes Proposals may be submitted for new or existing projects programs or for operational expenses Does the Foundation provide support for capital projects The Foundation will consider proposals for capital projects We do not give grants to capital campaigns Does the Foundation provide support other than grants The Foundation helps nonprofits build more secure futures for themselves and their communities by providing training and professional development through the Center for Philanthropy Education We offer educational programming opportunities to convene and nonprofit board training seminars Does the Foundation have an emergency assistance program We do not have a direct emergency assistance program The Foundation only grants to qualified 501 c 3 nonprofit organizations As such we are not able to grant to individuals However grants provided through the Family Support category of our Competitive Grant Program are often awarded to organizations that deal with families and individuals in crisis Does the Foundation grant to food pantries Yes We make annual distributions to MetroWest food pantries through our MetroWest Hunger Relief Fund If you are a food support organization that has not previously received funding from the Foundation you must complete a MetroWest Hunger Relief Fund survey If you have received a grant from us in the past please send an email to info foundationformetrowest org for further instructions We do not make grants to food pantries through our Competitive Grant Program Can I apply with another nonprofit organization Yes We encourage collaboration Two or more organizations may submit a joint proposal but one organization must be the head organization How can I access my
