    Town Funds Whether you establish a Town Fund or make a gift you become part of a permanent endowment helping your community forever Do you love where you live Many of us feel strong ties to a town or community and want to make sure that it continues to be a wonderful place to live As a result communities around MetroWest have set up Town Funds One of the Foundation for MetroWest s major initiatives over the last decade has been to establish Town Funds These are permanently endowed and work to build the quality of life for all residents in their town The funds support innovative programs and services that help make life safer healthier and more enjoyable for all members of the community in the areas of health and human services recreation community building environmental protection and the arts Each Town Fund is led by a volunteer community board which has a deep understanding of local needs and the nonprofits that address them These committee members oversee fundraising review applications based on published criteria and recommend grants to the foundation s Board of Directors The Foundation for MetroWest currently has funds which benefit the following towns Community Endowment of Lexington Southborough Community Fund Fund for Wellesley To learn more about these funds or if you are interested in setting up a fund to support your town please contact our Director of Town Funds Janet Kern or call 508 647 2260 Want to help further our Town Fund initiative The Foundation is actively seeking a summer intern to help our Director of Town Funds do this and more Learn More 2016 Spring Inspiration Breakfast Impact Initiatives Town Funds Community Endowment of Lexington Give Now to CEL CEL Grants CEL Grantees Southborough Community Fund Give Now to SCF SCF Grants
