    India The talk was followed by a question and answer session which lasted for more than an hour Today we had two film screenings During the work session we screened the remaining parts of the documentary A Force More Powerful A Century Of Non Violent Conflict Dir Steve York followed by Tibet s Stolen Child Dir Garthwait Griffin Many were finding it difficult to understand the film as it was in English In the afternoon two groups practiced their drama pieces It is finally coming into a form People are not though experienced in anything to do on the stage they were ready to try and see if they can act this way or say that dialogue Their willingness to do anything needed for the drama is making it easy to fall everything into place Tsering Wangdu la must be in his 60 but there is not a bend or a twist in this army trained body He was asked to play the role of a father in a family in Tibet and later the priest of the village People said he didn t know how to act that too He is now playing an easy role of a Chinese

    Talk was followed by a question and answer session The highlight of the day was the Public Meet Unlike other settlements Bhandara has only two camps Since we have a huge group of about 18 participants from each of the two camps only three or four would get the chance to speak to the public Participants made the programme schedule and decided who would talk on what topic Public Meet happened at 3 30pm at both camps with the help of the camp leaders Both meetings happened in the shadow of two huge trees Each team had purposely appointed young and inexperienced speakers Both the meets went on well Since the pillar was made ready this time earlier we had the second session in the morning free which we used to practice drama as it was to be presented this afternoon This time both the dramas told stories of atrocities the common Tibetans suffered in Tibet One was a real story told by a workshop participant who is above 65 The composition of the workshop participants this time was mostly old people Reaching The Public Public Meet At Camp No 2 DAY 1 DAY 2 DAY 3 DAY 4 DAY

    and Tibet fell to colonial powers Then we had a discussion on Self Analysis And Future Plans where many took pledges not to buy sell or use any products Made In China Dramas were rehearsed in the afternoon as the participants had decided to perform two dramas to the public We made some changes in both Two groups had come together and they helped each other Drama will be performed to the people at Camp no 1 today and Camp no 2 tomorrow Inauguration The Pillar by Gompo Tashi la By 3pm people from both the camps had gathered near the Martyr Pillar Many were seeing it for the first time Gompo Tashi la the Bhandara Settlement Officer inaugurated the pillar by lighting a butter lamp He asked the workshop participants to continue this process in the settlement and outside Karma Yeshi la gave an introduction to the pillar With this we have come to the end of the workshop on Non Violent Action For Tibet in Central India The 12th in the series first one being organised in Dharamsala almost an year ago now we plan to cover all the settlements in India Nepal and Bhutan Paying Homage To
