    recently have called home You are forced to become a housekeeper to a wealthy well connected man Gabriel Ortega You have the power to look through Ortega s possessions and uncover the secrets of your mysterious employer You have the power to question ignore or fight social and racial injustices Sunset created by video game makers Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn is a narrative driven game that forces its players to make decisions concerning race identity and politics Simple choices and interactions have potentially dire consequences As Angela players choose whether she should clean the windows of Ortega s 1970s stylized penthouse apartment or whether she should poke through Ortega s possessions books letters collections of art and uncover her employer s political leanings The two protagonists complex relationship rests in the player s hands Although Angela and Ortega never interact directly in the game they communicate with one another through notes These notes change based on how players want Angela to react to the messages she finds and the subsequent employer employee relationship that forms The political uprising outside of the apartment s walls contributes to the progression of the game as well Gunshots military drills screams and sirens from the city blend with the 70s soundtrack playing inside Ortega s home Meanwhile Angela discovers that Ortega is plotting a political rebellion Along with Ortega s personal history players also uncover Angela s past While Angela spends time in Ortega s apartment she consistently shares her own viewpoints on religion politics and art Players learn that she was a member of the Black Panthers and earned an engineering degree before she left the Unites States But what made her move to Anchuria in the midst of a military coup What will she do with the information she learns about

    the billboard which informs drivers of their distance from the car behind them to highlight the Fiat 500 s rear mounted parking assistant In order to bring the ad to life a few ultrasonic parking assist sensors were taken from a Fiat and attached to both the billboard and the car behind the open spot The billboard features an amalgamation of eccentric characters who using the data received from the sensors visually express the driver s distance from the car behind them using the span of their arms Depending on the driver s success or failure in parallel parking characters give either a grinning two thumbs up or an ashamed face palm From Persona Synthetics and lookingforyou to this innovative new billboard interactive advertisements are popping up with increasing frequency around the world As consumers in the twenty first century we re constantly being bombarded by traditional advertisements while streaming on Hulu browsing on Facebook or even swiping on Tinder With this constant exposure comes a desensitized population that has learned to block out whatever conventional branded material is thrown at it As a result brands are being forced evolve switch their advertising tactics and go beyond the mundane The

    graphic representation of what smells can be found in particular streets and areas of a city By running volunteer driven smell walks in seven different cities McLean collected her data smell descriptors that identified a wide range of distinct city odors For London and Barcelona the smell descriptors were cross indexed with social media data pulled from Flickr and Twitter Thus was born the world s first urban smell dictionary complete with 285 English terms that define the city smells of London and Barcelona The results are not the usual smells of sewage and smoke For every smell word describing emissions traffic and garbage truck there is balsamic jasmine French fries and even baklava City smells are often under appreciated and highly criticized Through urban smellscapes however McLean hopes to heighten our sensory understanding of place Smell after all has an incredibly powerful role in sensory experience and subsequently the way in which we navigate cities Multisensory research methodologies such as Smelly Maps have efficient outcomes on urban air as well As smells are distinguished and consistently located in specific areas of each city researchers can gather the appropriate figures to determine how street layouts should be changed to enhance

    Kyu Hwang the INVERSES includes a recording of soundscapes by Robin Rådenman and songs by Lindsay Olsen a trio of scents by Jacqueline Steele and graphic design by Nazara Lázaro The music was recorded by Lindsay in an LA studio with the same piano used by Supertramp The soundscapes were designed by Robin in Stockholm making use of various field recordings from the UK France by Antoine Bertin Nazara designed the graphics while in Berlin and the audiobook was recorded by Joanne inside a Toronto movie theater with Kat Hui as the narrator The illustrations were all meticulously drawn in graphite and ink by Kyu at his studio in Seoul Each component conveys a different aspect of the same story evoking new ways to visualize the complexities of an inner narrative INVERSES a modern collaboration that stretched hundreds of miles time zones and two years of skype calls is now ready to be sent out into the world The artists are looking for donations to fund their goal of printing one thousand copies of the book in Hong Kong with specialty papers and thread sewn binding hand pouring the scents in LA in Jacqueline s laboratory and hand pressing and
