    廃鉱 川へ通った それらを母岩から取り出す為には鑿と金鎚が必要で 海岸や川原での石拾いとは全く質の違う採集行為だった 巨大な岩の片隅の 筋状の窪みに在る無数の煙水晶を初めて見たとき 激しく心を動かされたのを憶えている 私はそこに全体論的美 何か神聖なもの 触れてはいけないものをみた 数日後 その水晶を採集しようとその鉱床に戻った そしてその結晶を一つ採集するためにはその結晶のまわりにあった小さな無数の結晶に鑿を入れる必要があった 鑿を入れる度に 透明な結晶たちは 白い粉 塵になって消えゆき その姿は まるで私たちが灰となり大気に紛れ消えゆく様だった その深遠な消失の美は 当初感じていたタブーを消し去るとともに この究極の物質 永遠に消失する過程に留まっているかのような 粉 塵は 私の絵画 彫刻 インスタレーション制作過程の中 最も重要な素材となった 当時 自然の断片 鉱物 化石 土 植物等を精力的に採集し それらから顔料等画材を造りながら 美術史上の様々な絵画技法を研究していた オートマティズムを取り入れた制作にも集中するようになったが それら一連の研究は 土性顔料 鉱物顔料 植物染料 石灰 砂 水 油 樹脂 卵 カゼイン等 様々な物質間の関係に関する 錬金術的な研究だった 私が求め続けているものは もの 事 人との間に存在する無数のつながりの顕現 時に偶然とも思われる 人と人 ものと人 事と人 ものと事との出会いに 偶然を越えるもの 隠れたつながりを探すのである 世界に無数に存在するつながりを認識して初めて ホモサピエンス中心の生き方から抜け出し全体論的な視点をもつことができるのではないかと そして初めて死は乗り越えられのではないかと私は思う アルバート アインシュタインは言う 人間は 私達が宇宙と呼ぶ全体の 時間と空間に限定された一部である
