    Series Despite what it may have looked like to some it was a good day to be on a bike Continue Reading Here Comes Cyclocross MFG Kick Off Cross Written by Tall Bryan on September 6 2013 Posted in Bicycle Racing Cyclocross Ride Your Bike Seattle Washington 1 Comment It is hard to believe its already September summer has been flying by While I always hate to see summer go cyclocross gives me something to look forward to in the fall before we plunge into the long dark and wet days of winter in the PNW MFG Cyclocross is kicking off the 2013 cross season with Kick Off Cross Big Finn Hill Park this Sunday September 8th If you ve never raced cross before they have a beginners category 10 20am to get your feet wet and your helmet muddy for the first time Cyclocross is extremely spectator friendly Watching a cross race is almost as much fun as racing minus the sweat blood tears There are a lot of prime spots to watch the action races are going on all day from 9 30am 3pm and fans often interact with the racers I wonder if there will be free wieners like last year Big Finn Hill Park is just a short bike ride from Seattle the majority of which is along the Burke Gilman Trail Map Here So grab some friends go for a ride and come watch the action Continue Reading Tour de Watertower 2013 Course Route Written by Tall Bryan on August 10 2013 Posted in Alley Cat Racing Bicycle Racing Events GO MEANS GO events Races Ride Your Bike Seattle 3 Comments Race day is Sunday August 25th Registration is 8 and can be done online here TdW Preregistration The first racer will be scheduled out the gate at 1 30pm Please plan to be at the start at least 10 minutes before your scheduled race time to insure you can be checked in and staged You can still register in person on race day but you will be given a slot after all the preregistered racers If you want to secure an earlier race time be sure and preregister Preregistration ends at 11 59pm Thursday August 22nd And here is the part you ve been waiting for Plan and RIDE your route before the race if at all possible A well planned and executed route will make all the difference on race day Tour de Watertower 2013 course route START Cool Guy Park along the trail starting at Lakeview Blvd E Belmont Ave E Maple Leaf Roosevelt Way NE and NE 86th st Queen Anne Lee St Warren Ave N Magnolia 38th Ave W between Dravus and Prosper Across from 3218 38th Ave W West Seattle SW Charlestown St 39th Ave SW High Point 35th Ave SW SW Myrtle St Woodland Park Phinney Ave N between N 53rd st N 54th St Volunteer Park Volunteer Park Road near entrance at E Prospect St FINISH Victory
