  • Go Means Go! Eddy Merckx: Hour Record 1972 Mexico City | GO MEANS GO
is needed to ride the track successfully Some giants of cycling such as Bernard Hinault never could adapt to track riding By 1969 he had won both the Giro and the Tour along with Paris Roubaix and the World Championships he knew he had the physical maturity for the Hour Then late that season his leg was broken in a motor paced criterium putting finis to any record hopes It wasn t until 1972 that Merckx decided to include the Hour in his season s plans The general idea was to ease up on the number of races so he would have energy enough to do the intense preparation required In practice he kept pretty close to his normally full schedule During the year he won no less than fifty 50 races among them a fifth Milan San Remo a fourth Tour de France a third Tour of Italy a third Liège Bastogne Liège a third Fleche Wallone a second Tour of Lombardy Text from here Eddy and the Hour Tall Bryan Bicycle rider mechanic and collector Living and riding in Seattle since 2001 Leave a comment Our Sponsors Find Us On Facebook GoMeansGo on Twitter Tall Bryan on Instagram Ryan on Instagram Flickr Group Recent Comments Example 1 The Humpday Hustler Benny Blanco June 18 2015 Hi Bryan appreciate the review I m doing the same mod to the lock I just picked up the body does feel bulky and plasticy Just one question where did you get the sweet Abus stick Thanks Holger Ketterle June 12 2015 Ryan I m right there with you on this bike all I can think of is for 5k i could build a carbon race bike an aluminum crit bike and a vintage steel framed commuter All of which could stand out

MT21 70 Lezyne had a couple new things notably the new Digital Floor Drive pumps What I like about Lezyne is that their tools are designed to be rebuilt when broken not thrown away Even the new digital display will be backwards compatible with their Floor Drives if you d rather look at a digital display swap it out Also cool is their Porta Shop tool kit King Cage Titanium and Stainless bits for carrying liquids and things on your bike They had a really cool handlebar flask that has two shot glasses onboard It s in production They ve also got the bar bell a bell that s a shot glass Ron at
