    process the Greater Milwaukee Foundation requires all potential grant applicants to first submit a letter of inquiry which gives basic information about the proposed project or initiative The Foundation places its highest funding priorities on projects and initiatives that impact the following four areas strengthening education strengthening neighborhoods increasing economic opportunities and promoting racial equity and inclusion We also strongly support projects and programs related to arts and culture economic development the environment and health and human services Proposed projects or initiatives should meet the following criteria The Foundation is an integral partner with other stakeholders in providing program support improving implementation and communicating results There are opportunities for co investment by Foundation donors and other funders Applicants have the capacity to deliver an effective program with results Program outcomes are results oriented defined and measurable Collaboration as warranted is meaningful with responsibilities clearly defined The program has the potential to become sustainable or replicated If the project or initiative meets the criteria Foundation Community Investment staff will invite selected applicants to submit full proposals for consideration by the Foundation Board Please note A letter of inquiry will not be considered until you have first completed a profile on Philanthropy Online for your organization Preview Letter of Inquiry and Full Proposal Questions docx Use this list of question to prepare your answers prior to working through the Letter of Inquiry 2nd Quarter Preview of Letter of Inquiry and Full Proposal Questions for Capital Grants The Greater Milwaukee Foundation is providing discretionary funds to support requests to fund capital projects during the 2nd quarter grant cycle 501 c 3 nonprofit organizations seeking funding for significant capital projects or to acquire important equipment should apply through a two step competitive application process The first step in the process includes completing the 2nd
