    Boston Philadelphia and the San Francisco Bay Area By partnering with these six exceptional nonprofit organizations our goal is to change the life trajectories of children and youth in these communities who are too often overlooked and left behind by our education system and economy San Francisco Bay Area Genesys Works uAspire Boston Blueprint Schools Network College Advising Corps Philadelphia Single Stop Year Up Selected through a competitive process GreenLight s SIF Initiative portfolio organizations demonstrate evidence of impact on the following outcomes for low income children and youth 1 Improved school persistence and academic achievement 2 Increased high school graduation and GED attainment 3 Increased college access and persistence GreenLight s SIF Initiative has awarded each portfolio organization between 1 and 1 3 million over five years to support their expansion into one of our three locations and undertake a rigorous evaluation to advance their level of evidence and grow their impact GreenLight s SIF Initiative has been made possible through a 2012 grant from the federal Social Innovation Fund Established in April 2009 by the Edward M Kennedy Serve America Act the Social Innovation Fund is a competitive grant program housed at the Corporation for National and Community
