    Interested in being a vendor Booths are only 10 each and are first come first served For more information about the flea market call Kathleen at 610 914 8152 Tours of the Joanna Furnace site will also be available Victorian Tea Saturday May 7 2016 Reservations Required Call Nancy at 610 404 7278 Joanna Furnace Iron Works Day Plant Sale Saturday May 21 2016 7 to 12 noon Step back in time and relive life on an 18th and 19th Century Iron Plantation as the old furnace comes to life Visitors can see how metal castings were made 150 years ago and witness actual pours Blacksmithing and Bread making in old fashion bake ovens will also take place Springtime plants herbs perennials and annuals will also be available to purchase at the Joanna Furnace herb garden All plants were grown by members and volunteers of the Association The day starts off with an all you can eat breakfast 7 to 11 am and flea market Vendors are also welcome to sell their own plants on this day Hay Creek interpreters will also provide guided tours of the historic site Hay Creek Classic Car and Motorcycle Show Saturday June 18 2016 7 am to 9 pm The event will include the following A car show including classic antique hot rod muscle military vehicles Plus motorcycles of all types Trophies will be awarded Veterans gathering with military displays On this special day we will honor Veterans from all wars The public is invited to meet our veterans and to listen to their stories as they show off their memorabilia from their service time Veterans Review and Parade Military reenactors including the Greater Pennsylvania Military Vehicle Historical Society will be on site showing vehicles from WWII Korean War and Vietnam War eras They

    varieties that add to our favorite apple recipes The Hay Creek Apple Festival invites you to pick your own variety of apple and enter your famed creation into our annual apple dessert contest The contest has four Apple Categories which includes Pies Cakes Breads Muffins and Desserts Kids also have their own category and participate in the contest by baking any apple dessert they desire To participate in the apple dessert contest simply bring your homemade entry to the Hay Creek Apple Festival between 8 am and 9 am on October 8th along with a copy of the complete recipe Entries will be judged at 10 am and the winners will be announced during the day All baked items will be sold at the festival with the proceeds going toward the Joanna Furnace restoration efforts Winning recipes will be published and offered for sale at the 2017 Hay Creek Apple Festival Email info haycreek org if you would like to purchase any of the previous year s cookbooks For more information about the contest contact Caroline Lee at 610 670 0098 Apple Festival Prizes First Place winners in each apple category will receive 25 00 Second place winners receive 5
