documenting for KIDS 2 posts 0 new Log in or register to post comments Last post Wednesday March 4 2 58 pm 1 webmaster For half day teachers What are your strategies for observing and documenting for KIDS Top Monday March 9 7 14 pm 2 Ann Klein Job Title Gen Ed Teacher I believe that most every interaction I have with my little ones as I am working consciously to be present for them lends itself to data collection I have found that having a quick reference sheet observation log or checklist handy for the measure I am focusing on helps tremendously Over time I have tweaked and streamlined these sheets as I work to find what works best for me It has to work for you has to be easy for you to manage and collect your data as well as synthesize your data when it is time to enter your data Some measures lend themselves to checklist types of logs i e math and or phonemic awareness I can have several measures across the top and kids names along the side on one clipboard I find it easier to manage data collection when I have all students
