    More About the Garden Enjoy the beauty of nature in the Garden at lunch time Tables and chairs are available The Courtyard is a great place to bring your lunch and use our free WiFi The Key West Botanical Garden Society Inc is a registered 501 c 3 nonprofit corporation Donations are deductible under the Internal Revenue Service Code A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER SERVICES BY CALLING TOLL FREE 1 800 HELPFLA 435 7352 WITHIN THE STATE REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT APPROVAL OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE The Garden is publicly owned and operated as a passive natural resource based public outdoor recreational site The Key West Tropical Forest Botanical Garden is the only frost free botanical garden in the continental United States A tropical environment with ample rain allows most trees to retain their leaves in the dry season December through late May It is home to many endangered and threatened flora and fauna Unlike traditional botanical gardens this garden advocates the importance of native plants and species through education in a natural conservation habitat Tropical forests of the world hold at least half of all the variety of life on Earth Moreover the species found with the Caribbean are among the richest in plant and animal life on the planet Autograph Tree Clusia rosea by Beryn Harty The Key West Forest Garden is a special place where you can appreciate biodiversity and learn more about its importance For instance the forest has two of the last remaining fresh water ponds in the Keys and is a major migratory stopping point for neo tropical birds from places as far as South America as well as being home to many rare birds in the Florida Keys Enjoy

    grow All sponsors will be acknowledged publicly Download the sponsorship form Vendors and Musicians Download the vendor application Download the musician application Locals Free Day 1st Sunday Each Month Monthly Plant Sale Third Saturday 10 am noon The Garden opens its nursery to the public every 3rd Saturday of the month from 10 a m until Noon for plant sales Most plants are priced at 8 00 for a 1 gallon pot and 15 00 for a 3 gallon pot Members receive a 15 discount Disabled persons will be accommodated The Key West Botanical Garden Nursery provides plants for Conservation use education opportunities and sales Native plants including many which are threatened and endangered are grown for Garden replacement for education purposes as a training opportunity for sales and introduction or reintroduction to sites in the Florida Keys The inventory stands at approximately 1500 plants The Nursery is now a focal point of the Key West Botanical Garden It uses the synergy of our volunteers Companions Guardians Docents propagation education and grant programs This combination of efforts has allowed the Nursery to become a part of Key West and Keys community The Nursery reaches out to Civics class students from
