    seek the assistance of outside consultants If the project is small the MMSD Engineering Department will complete all planning and design internally If the project is large MMSD will seek the services of outside consultants Typically MMSD performs all construction phase project duties including management resident engineering and inspection MMSD does not retain the services of one consulting firm from project to project Rather it seeks different consultants for different projects This is done via a Request for Qualification and or Request for Proposal process Consultants are selected based on several factors including past experience personnel ability to complete work and price To obtain information concerning the possibility of performing consulting services for MMSD please contact Mr Bruce Borelli Director of Engineering at 608 222 1201 ext 206 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS MEETING FACILITATION AND COLLABORATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING TRAINING The District is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to perform facilitation and collaborative problem solving services The District recognizes the need to give voice to all District employees to foster an inclusive open and a positive work environment The District s Executive Team has explored several options to provide structural support that strengthens communication encourages meaningful employee participation and develops leadership in all District employees An Employee Leadership Council ELC was created in June 2015 that reflects the District s values of integrity teamwork creativity and balance A critical component to the success of the ELC will be working with an experienced skilled and neutral facilitator Some of the responsibilities of the facilitator will be to provide training in collaborative problem solving guide the development of operating guidelines for the ELC provide ongoing regular meeting facilitation and develop processes for onboarding new members A full version of the request for proposals can be obtained via this link Request For Proposals Meeting Facilitation

    nutrients through the Metrogro Program puts the District s vision of enriching life through clean water and resource recovery into action Biosolids are the nutrient rich organic product generated during the wastewater treatment process The Metrogro Program recycles biosolids to agricultural land in a safe and environmentally sound manner Farmers using Metrogro can increase productivity and reduce costs The Metrogro Program has received national recognition and has been used as a model by the EPA More The District treats 40 million gallons of wastewater every day producing clean water and a nutrient rich organic product called Metrogro which is used by area farmers to grow crops 10 3 2013 1 24 00 PM 5 Prior to application to farm land Metrogro is temporarily stored in large tanks at the Nine Springs Treatment Plant Each tank holds over 6 million gallons of Metrogro 10 3 2013 1 24 00 PM 6 Metrogro is transported to farms in fully enclosed trailers 10 3 2013 1 24 00 PM 7 At the field application site Metrogro is transferred to a nurse tank Application vehicles load directly from the nurse tank 10 3 2013 1 24 00 PM 8 Metrogro is applied using subsurface injection Highly specialized equipment is used to apply Metrogro The equipment utilizes a computerized system to control application rates All Metrogro is applied using subsurface injection techniques 10 3 2013 3 14 00 PM 29 Metrogro is applied to 5 000 acres of farmland in a safe and environmentally sound manner following all requirements specified by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the United States Environmental Protection Agency 10 3 2013 1 24 00 PM 10 All farms receiving Metrogro applications must be approved for use following a process administered by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources As part
