  • Death
Dobbs Is this a sequel to life A prequel It s definitely in the same series I was never really a big fan of Life and now that Death is coming I m going to have a lot of questions I want answered before I sign anything Death has drawn harsh criticism both from the right and left It s morally repugnant both have said This will be a key issue in the 2004 election As a concept Death is a certain hit Though at times it may seem reduced to a cult obsession it will inevitably return to the mainstream Eventually people will recognize it as something they need to have Said one market analyst Death It s a fresh market a huge market the sort of thing everybody s gotta have Due to its quiet classical yet shockingly sudden and new image Death is predicted to be most popular amongst young risk takers and the elderly Upon discovering Death many Life enthusiasts have vowed never to switch back As one stated Death is the after Life There is no Life after Death Others disagree Death Death has no power over Life Life goes on Life eternal baby A number of countries with dubious Human Rights records have attempted to appease citizens demanding basic freedoms and democratic reforms by offering them Death It s really quite a good deal said one would be Iraqi freedom fighter I say give me liberty or give me Death to me it doesn t matter a heck of a lot which one Many of the same leaders who offer death to their own citizens proclaim the merits of death and seek to export it to western countries Thus they have adopted the catchy slogan Death to the West While the origin of Death

  • Vanilla Coke
about it Occasionally I d see a post on a discussion board about how incredibly good it was or how it tasted just like creme soda Well I like Coke my own vanilla Coke and creme soda So when I saw it in a store for the first time in late June I decided to buy some and try it It tastes exactly as I expected like Coke with some vanilla flavor syrup which means that it s pretty good Despite some people s preconceptions it s not really a huge difference Just a slight vanilla taste detected more on the aftertaste than the initial sip If you don t like regular Coke you won t like Vanilla and if you don t like creme soda you may want to pass on it as well Hopefully Coca Cola will not follow the lead of Vanilla Ice by later renaming this product V Coke If that happens I will stop buying it Until then I can gladly recommend this product It s cheaper easier and more portable than making it myself No surprises no radical changes and no outrageous claims this is a simple addition to a basic staple drink of

  • Gillette Mach 3 Turbo razor, and shaving in the shower
or 8 and the razor around 10 only comes with two of them Blades should be changed every 3 6 shaves depending on personal preference By comparison the Norelco electric was 60 and a new set of blades was 30 but they only had to be changed about every 6 months again depending on personal preference Since the cost of electricity is negligible the Mach 3 is more expensive over time than the Norelco electric but requires a smaller initial investment Typical shaves with the Mach 3 are very easy and fast almost as fast as with the electric But I m satisfied only with the best Based on the recommendations of the Something Awful Forum members I tried shaving in the shower with regular hair conditioner VO5 Kiwi Lime Squeeze instead of shaving cream It s amazing The shaves are even faster because the conditioner softens the hair and is slick enough to double the turbo of the razor Unfortunately the turbo strip is unimpressive When the cartridge is new it does help the razor glide more quickly over the skin but it wears away or peels off after 1 2 shaves It s more of a gimmick than

  • Amtrak
is awfully slow 5 hours for a trip that should have taken 4 in a car and was 30 minutes late arriving two of the three times I rode Also train stations are pretty scarce the farther west you go the East Coast is the one part of the country where it makes sense to have Amtrak run You can take the train to Duluth MN for example but not Houston On the East Coast though it makes a lot of sense especially in areas where driving would be a headache with lots of traffic and rush hour Also you don t have to wait around for two hours before leaving like you would at the airport Extra bonus CD players and laptops aren t forbidden Value 50 round trip to Washington D C is a great price and not all that much more than you d spend on gas in a standard SUV non fuel efficient car Plus you can read or play games on your laptop instead of having to drive It gets a four because if you re carpooling for shortish distances you would certainly be farther ahead to drive assuming one of you has a car Food Better than airline food but not by a lot It s nice to be able to get a snack or lunch whenever you want though The pizza was scary think microwaved pizza in a bag but the sandwiches were pretty good and the prices weren t any higher than you d find anywhere else with a captive audience movie theater amusement park etc Ambiance Clean and tastefully decorated and well lit even at night The stations varied but were clean at least the ones I saw and I didn t feel unsafe standing around at night You get a

  • FOUND Magazine
drag your roommate in to show them hilarious 35 deep or poignant and 15 beautiful or insightful but not particularly exciting The quality interviews will probably improve with time too Appeal This magazine ought to appeal to everyone except for particularly prudish grandmothers some love letters get a bit graphic and the death threats are a bit profane I want to have a coffee table so I can keep this magazine on it It s up there with the Onion in terms of pick it up and read a bit status I regret reading most of it in one lump because I think I would have enjoyed some of the weirder notes more compared with the rest of my day instead of against each other Availability Although you can find it online and order a subscription there it s not widely carried by bookstores especially chains It s more expensive to order a subscription 7 instead of 5 each because of shipping but hopefully in a few years you ll be able to find it around more Value For 5 7 per magazine depending on whether you subscribe or buy it in an independent bookstore it s wonderful Hardly any
