had a good Valentine s day As I mentioned I got my present Saturday Gaelic Storm concert Since the man has been interested in blacksmithing and the book I bought him for Christmas went over so well I decided to go with the same theme and purchased a gift certificate for him for 4 hours of private blacksmithing training I think I can safely say it was a hit I couldn t believe that I found a forge about 15 minutes from where we live The master blacksmith that he ll be training with also works at Henry Ford Greenfield Village which really impressed the man When I arrived at work this morning and turned on the computer I discovered my keyboard was fried Uggg No computer for the whole 6 hours I was there Thankfully I had my knitting and a couple books with me in my tote I hate wasted days like this About 1 I received a phone call telling me they were sending somebody to get me a new keyboard LOL Apparentyly my not being able to work caught up and was backing everybody else up Guess it was a lesson for them in how much I do in a day O Unfortunately it doesn t equate to job security I ve decided the only way I m going to move myself along is to do a job change I ve been considering going back to school for either bookkeeping or massage therapy My thought on massage therapy is that I could continue to work my current job so I can keep my benefits while I work on building my clientele The other consideration is going back and getting an associate degree in bookkeeping Bookkeeping s down side is that it s at a computer and I d like a job where I could move around At 46 I don t see going back to school for nursing as feasible for the years I d be able to work versus the debt of college for it I have an appointment tomorrow with the massage therapy school I had a nice surprise today I ve mentioned that I ve been getting rid of books on paperbackbookswap com and getting some new ones I ve heard several of you recommend Gladys Taber here and found several of her books so I ordered Harvest of Yesterdays I just received it in the mail today and it s a signed copy I also was able to get Conversations with Amber which I just started Okay I m off to read a bit before the man last night so I made a frozen pizza that I got from Aldi s over the weekend It was a deep dish sausage pizza sort of like Uno s for those that have that chain I think I paid like 3 99 for it Thought I might get a complaint out of the man since he s been in a mood but he actually thought it was pretty good It wasn t great but decent and much cheaper then running out for something for sure I also was not about where you live it s about who you are I was raised in town by parents who had grown up in isolated areas so we gardened and canned etc When I was in school the teachers wouldn t believe that I wasn t a country kid because I acted like one Now I m blessed to live out of town and have livestock it s what I ve always wanted and I m so glad to be doing it and raising my children this way Went to my first spinning group meeting One lady was kind enough to let me try her spinning wheel and spin a little bit of her alpaca fiber I m in love It takes a rhythm and I need a lot more practice aka I SUCKED but with practice I could do it Oh it s just one of those things that relaxes you the rhythm of it And then knowing that you re spinning the fiber into a yarn to use for knitting or weaving etc I so want to do this I may also have a little in on a loom too So then me and the children could start weaving and making things Jackson was sure interested in it the last time he used one So yep I think I m going to join the fiber guild and get going on this And then you just KNOW I m going to get the fiber animals too P Hmmmmm angora goats alpacas All part of my self sufficiency dream Husband left this morning for his trip It was kind of funny at church one lady voiced concern Are you going to be alright way out there by yourself I chuckled until I realized she was serious Her husband reassured her that I was fine and probably looking forward to it I giggled When the cat is away the mice will play I m going to find some fun things for the kids and I to do and we re going to PeggyAnn Vancouver WA USA 5247 Posts Posted Feb 26 2012 09 47 03 AM Ruthie you sound very excited about the prospects of moving that is great as long as you take it slowly That is what caused my pain on both sides of my legs last Oct I had only two weeks to pack my whole place up and two weeks to move it over to the new House I remember the pain starting during the packing up phase I thought I was having extreme Sciatica and Flaring Fibro from all the heavy lifting but didn t have time to go to The Dr Until Dec Found out I had what is called Lateral Pain When I got home from the Doc I knew what the pain was but not what caused it The pain is usually on one side or the other from your hip to your knee to your ankle I was blessed with it running down both legs Come to find out it is caused from weight training or other strenuous forms of excercise and arthritis can cause it to flare in your body too Well the only form of excercise I had had was that move I still have the pain to date but it is lessening I tell you all this just to caution you because from your discriptions of your pain early on I felt like you were having lateral pain also It is one of the most excrutiating form of pain that I have ever delt with You might just google Lateral Pain on your computer and read up on it So you can pack the boxes girl but let hubby carry them You see my problem was my hubby is 8 yrs older than me and I was trying to spare him body pain by doing everything myself Plus back in Oct he was working full time Knowing what I know now I wouldn t do that again I say that but I know me I would still try to spare him as he will be 69 this year lol Bunny Cherime Janet Judy and others thanks for your prayers and good thoughts directed my way I actually went out in public late yesterday afternoon See I too can be humbled It s not all vanity As my swelling goes down my upper lip is almost a tiny line I have very thin lips to begin with In a few days I will probably have no upper lip left showing Weird I think it will start to look strange when I talk Right now it looks fine when I talk but If I laugh I have to hide my mouth behind my hand Don t want to gross anyone out by showing my sutured

36 54 PM Well My Porchies I found out this morning that it is hard to sing praise and worship songs to God with no teeth lol But I did my best I even greeted new people at church God is humbling me through this experience and teaching me that I can do all things when my focus is on Him and not on me Our church service was awesome as always but today we had about 6 large crosses stationed around the Sanctuary and at the end of the service on the topic There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus people nailed the guilt the shame the regrets the sin that they have been carrying around needlessly to The Cross I took my communion back to me seat and as I took it and prayed I could hear people nailing their stuff to The Cross It made me weep in Joy for the freedom they were going to feel now So Awesome Then we went to B N for awhile then came home and took the dogs for a walk out in the sunshine What a great Lord s Day And to think I almost stayed home because I was in so much Fibro pain So glad God helped me rise above the pain and discomfort to meet with Him at the Bldg today I was richly blessed Oh by the way girls I am doing a give away on my Blog Site if you strange most of the day I pretty much got nothing done The man was in a testy mood surprise surprise when he got home from work Saturday so I decided to sweeten him up with some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies Seemed to work a bit Sunday thankfully I felt normal and was able to get all my weekend cleaning done but didn t get to work on the computer room like I d planned Didn t get the mead bottled either since somebody didn t put the chemical in to kill the yeast Bunny man do I remember all that accounting homework My ex could never understand how much time that one class took It s great you have somebody to do it with Ruth Ann how you feeling girlfriend Have you noticed any improvement with the shot Jan what type of business do you have It s hard at any age any more to find another job so I can feel for you and your husband Prayer Request I may have a lead on a job A woman I recently met applied for a transfer to another city and got it so her job will be coming open which is my area I ve asked her about how to apply and all that It s for one of the state univeristies so I m hoping it would have decent pay and benefits Keeping my fingers crossed Also a prayer request that the man s mood behavior improves He has taken a hatred to Oreo since she moved in with us and he s nasty about it on a daily basis We were watching the news and they were talking about a tsumani somewhere and he informed me that he wished Oreo had been in the tsumani and that her body would wash up 8 months later on a beach somewhere This is a dog I absolutely love
