  • Take Courage | MB Mission
from the reading a brief reflection and a prayer We trust that you will be inspired by the messages that God is speaking through his Word Take Courage Leviticus 26 27 Acts 23 Take courage As you have testified about me in Jerusalem so you must also testify in Rome Acts 23 11 Our courage to testify to the power of the gospel in our lives comes from God He has an unlimited supply of that courage The courage needed to attempt new ventures in life is different from the courage required to testify about Jesus The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy Revelation 19 10 It is the power of the Holy Spirit that gives us the boldness we require to share the gospel of Jesus Christ Acts 1 8 We require God s courage to share God s story in the world Our courage in one chapter or location in our lives doesn t necessarily carry over to the next season or location We need new fresh courage and boldness from God each day to live on mission with Jesus Lord Jesus fill me with your courage and boldness to live and share your gospel this

  • We Belong to God | MB Mission
inspired by the messages that God is speaking through his Word We Belong to God Leviticus 25 Psalm 25 26 Acts 22 Because the Israelites are my servants whom I brought out of Egypt they must not be sold as slaves Do not rule over them ruthlessly but fear your God the Israelites belong to me I am the Lord your God Leviticus 25 42 55 The basis of our humility and generosity toward one another in God s family is the basic truth that people don t belong to us they belong to God We do not even own ourselves but we were bought with the price of Christ s blood just as the Israelites were redeemed from Egypt We belong to God as his servants The responsibilities and the freedoms which flow from this basic and yet profound truth can set nations and peoples free The enslavement of one man by another throughout history is not based on God s truth but on sin and greed When God is our source we don t need to use one another to advance our own interests We belong to God Lord Jesus I belong to you and seek to serve

that you will be inspired by the messages that God is speaking through his Word The Lord s Will be Done Leviticus 23 24 Psalm 24 Acts 21 Why are you weeping and breaking my heart I am ready not only to be bound but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus When he would not be dissuaded we gave up and said The Lord s will be done Acts 21 13 14 Our human tendency is to avoid pain and protect those we love Paul s declaration that his own safety and very life were not as valuable as the name of the Lord was a gentle rebuke to his faithful friends Paul s friends finally ceded their human will for the greatest will of God In our love for one another we can sometimes interfere with God s will for each other Our highest values are not health and safety but the will of God We value the name of the Lord Jesus above our own names and his glory above our own Not my will but your will be done Lord Jesus I offer my life health and safety to you and

  • I Served the Lord | MB Mission
inspired by the messages that God is speaking through his Word I Served the Lord Leviticus 20 22 Acts 20 I served the Lord with great humility and with tears although I was severely tested by the plots of the Jews I consider my life worth nothing to me if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me Acts 20 19 24 Paul lived with a deep inner call that fueled his life and ministry That call was first to the Lord Jesus and the proclamation of the gospel Paul s life was not his to preserve and promote He had surrendered his life to Jesus and now lived for the glory of God However even that total sacrifice and surrender of his life was nothing in which to take pride Paul s service was marked by great humility and tears the overflow of a heart full of God s love and forgiveness Completing the race of faith that Jesus had given him became Paul s primary goal at the close of his active traveling ministry As Jesus was being lifted up Paul was decreasing Lord Jesus may you increase and I

  • Parents and Elderly | MB Mission
passage from the reading a brief reflection and a prayer We trust that you will be inspired by the messages that God is speaking through his Word Parents and Elderly Leviticus 18 19 Psalm 13 Acts 19 Each of you must respect his mother and father and you must observe my Sabbaths I am the Lord your God Rise in the presence of the aged Show respect for the elderly and revere your God I am the Lord Leviticus 19 3 32 God equates how we respect the elderly with how we honor him Why is that Respect and honor begin in our homes with the way we treat our parents As we honor authority in our homes we learn to honor God as our source of authority The aged have lived life longer than us they have something to teach us This is an attitude of humility God highly honors humility and respect for authority The way we treat our parents even as they age and the way we treat the elderly around us speaks to the way we respond to God Lord God thank you for godly parents who love you and taught me the value of authority

  • Full Gospel | MB Mission
that you will be inspired by the messages that God is speaking through his Word Full Gospel Leviticus 13 14 Acts 17 he commands all people everywhere to repent For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead Acts 17 30 31 Paul s presentation of the gospel in Athens began with finding common ground at the altar to the unknown God He didn t stop there though but clearly presented the uniqueness of Christ and then the personal accountability each person has for their own sin Jesus is the just judge authenticated by his resurrection from the dead and it is before Christ Jesus that we will be held accountable for our response to the gospel When the gospel is presented without a focus on repentance eternal judgment and the resurrection of the dead it lacks the power to transform Paul wanted to win his audience but he did not sacrifice the less popular aspects of the gospel in order to do that Lord Jesus I pray that your gospel would be clearly
