walk humbly with your God Micah 6 8 At MB Mission we want to reflect Jesus heart of love and compassion for children Especially in places where children have been orphaned and abandoned we are working hard to provide them with love protection family and a bright future Tragic stories of neglect and rejection are being transformed into stories of rescue and redemption as God works through his people to bring justice for marginalized children Our children s homes in least reached regions of the world are showing the love of Christ to vulnerable and hurting children and teens Ramya and her brother Sethu came from a small village in India where their parents were laborers and doing their best to raise and educate their three children However one day the father suddenly became ill his health deteriorated quickly and he died The mother was overwhelmed from the loss and afraid to face her future as a widow While Ramya and Sethu were away at school the mother gave poison to the youngest child and then took poison herself Within hours relatives found the mother and child unconscious and took them directly to the local hospital But doctors were not able to save them The young child died first and then the mother after a few days Ramya and Sethu were alone and their extended family was unable to care for them Soon after these two children were invited to come and live at the Bethania Home for Children where they found the love of Christ and a new family to care for them Your support can transform the lives of children like Ramya and Sethu Donate Here s how you can help 50 a month provides a child with the basics food clothing health care and education 100 a

him that he was unqualified He was also poor and from an isolated village Although Loong wanted to go to Bible school there was no opportunity So he waited But while he waited Loong held on to his dream of becoming a messenger of the Gospel among his own people After five years of waiting Loong heard about the Changed Life Center CLC in Northern Thailand He made arrangements crossed the border and found the Center where he met a man with MB Mission who coordinated training for a large network of church planters in Southeast Asia Loong told the man about his dream and asked Can God use me to bring the Gospel to villages in my country Can you help me fulfill my dream Yes the man spoke plainly to Loong I want to serve God like you Loong replied No the man said not like me like Christ The MB Mission worker went on to explain that Loong must be bold and humble about sharing the word of God with others After some training Loong returned to his village Two months later Loong returned to CLC with three friends and a full report about what God had done These three men had led 125 people to Christ in five different villages and they were regularly gathering together for worship In one week alone they baptized seventy five new believers PK and the others at CLC rejoiced with these men and after two days of training sent them back to their village Today in Loong s village alone there are 175 followers of Jesus As a church they are currently making plans to construct a building where they can all gather together Loong continues to visit the Changed Life Center three times per year for one week training

could be treated with appropriate medicine Often families live thousands of kilometres away from any trained health professional Partner with MB Mission as we seek to build healthy communities by providing access to medical care With your help we will see spiritual transformation as local church members share Christ s love in tangible ways through critical health care Walking down a crowded street in Asia Marilyn saw a woman with an eight month old baby on her lap The child had an unrepaired cleft lip The mother sat begging on a brown burlap sack Random coins had been tossed around her Beside her lay a blanket a wet diaper and some garbage Marilyn stopped to slip some money into the mother s calloused hands As she turned to walk away the Spirit prompted her to show compassion I couldn t take another step Marilyn remembers I was convinced that the Holy Spirit wanted me to be a conduit of his love right there Marilyn learned that baby Qian Qian had never seen a doctor and the father had abandoned the mother when he saw his newborn son s deformity She had never let her heart hope that her baby might be healed As Marilyn touched them both and prayed for them asking God to show them mercy the mother began to sob Later God provided the necessary translators doctors and funds to repair the cleft lip of baby Qian Qian Mother and son began the road to physical and emotional healing as they reunited with the father and his family What s equally amazing is that God led Marilyn to a woman who lived near Qian Qian s countryside home This woman was a Christian and she spoke the local dialect The family and villagers wanted to know why thay

  • What is the Blended Funding Model | MB Mission
on a suggested amount per member MB Mission is still encouraging churches to give according the suggested amount of 100 per member annually However during recent years people within MB churches have been less inclined to give toward undesignated funding This trend is reflected in a wide variety of financial matters in our churches as well as in our society It has become a strong cultural value today that people identify and be relationally linked to what they are contributing to financially In response to this value MB Mission has recently adopted a blended funding model which includes relational giving At the US MB Conventions in 2004 this new model was affirmed by the constituency and is presently being implemented The relational funding model is a blended model allowing for both undesignated and relational giving Churches may wish to designate a portion of their giving toward specific missionaries or projects Relational funding is designed to strengthen the relationship between missionaries serving with MB Mission and the MB churches which support them especially when funding new missionaries from their own church or district region Churches are also encouraged to continue to give undesignated gifts Together as a denomination we are committed to doing many exciting things These gifts are used to support A portion of the training cost of new missionaries New mission work in places like North Africa and North India Missionaries who have not yet reached full relational funding Projects in countries like India Congo Lithuania and Germany that extend the mission of the church International Missionaries that have been sent by other MB Conferences like Colombia and Congo to serve in MB Mission Church planting teams outside of their home country A portion of the North America global dispatch staff team We want to embrace both the churches
