  • A Church in Loong’s Village | MB Mission
Asia Loong told PK about his dream and asked Can God use me to bring the Gospel to villages in my country Can you help me fulfill my dream Yes PK spoke plainly to Loong I want to serve God like you Loong replied No PK said not like me like Christ PK went on to explain that Loong must be bold and humble about sharing the word of God with others Share as much you know PK said Serve God to the best of your understanding and God will bless your work Before Loong left the center PK gave him five simple words of instruction believe trust obey love and accept Loong took those words to heart and returned to his village Two months later Loong returned to the training center with three friends and a full report about what God had done These three men had led 125 people to Christ in five different villages and they were regularly gathering together for worship In one week alone they baptized seventy five new believers PK and the others rejoiced with these men and after two days of training sent them back to their village After arriving home Loong gathered some of the believers together in his home Quickly however the house was surrounded by sixty police officers and soldiers with guns who demanded that the believers renounce their faith in Jesus The believers remained silent In that moment Loong called PK on his mobile phone What should we do Please do not do anything PK answered Just pray Lift up all your problems into the hands of God and he will protect you and your people PK reminded him of the words of Jesus in Matthew 10 19 20 But when they arrest you do not worry about what

  • Henry's Courage | MB Mission
They couldn t believe what they were hearing They were amazed by Henry s attitude They saw the love of Christ within him And because of that testimony a number of those soldiers gave their lives to Jesus When word of that incident spread throughout the army base the General in charge called Henry into his office and expressed his sympathy for what had happened and indicated to Henry that not everyone felt the same way toward followers of Jesus as that officer Henry was encouraged by the General s support Years later after Henry had left the military and were working full time in church planting and preaching the Gospel he came back to that city He had been praying that God would send more workers to that part of his country But he had come back to the city to speak to a small number of young Muslims who were interested in learning more about Jesus Henry knew that it was risky to take these kinds of opportunities because someone could easily inform the authorities about what he was doing and he would be in trouble One evening after speaking at length with this group sharing his own testimony and the Gospel with them he returned to the apartment where he was staying in the city and he went to bed In the middle of that night around 1 or 2 in the morning he was suddenly awakened and immediately felt that he should leave He sensed that the Holy Spirit was saying that it was no longer safe at the apartment and that he should find somewhere else to stay So Henry packed up and walked out into the cold remembering what had happened years earlier in that same city in that same cold when the military officer had tortured him for his faith in Jesus As he walked down the street he asked God Where should I go And immediately he heard God speak Go back to the military base Although Henry was somewhat afraid and reluctant he went directly to the military base and approached the gate There the guard told him that because he was no longer in the military he couldn t let him in not without someone s permission Without hesitation Henry told the guard to call the General Despite the fact that it was the middle of the night the guard called the General and he granted Henry permission to spend the night at the military base In the morning when Henry left through that gate the same guard told him that during the night two carloads of men had come looking for him and the guard had turned them away Henry s life was preserved Henry was protected by the Holy Spirit that night as he has been many times in his work as an evangelist and church planter in his country He is one of many national believers who are enduring significant persecution for their faith today We stand
