conferences for churches in regions have combined renewal and mission equipping for all generations We ve taken groups of pastors in our DNA Exchanges to both learn and share with leaders in Central Asia and SE Asia and found that mission flows both ways Our short term mission discipleship training programs are impacting church planting strategies in places like Winnipeg Vancouver Salt Lake City and Fresno What could the promise of Acts 1 8 look like in our day Empowered by the Spirit witnessing of Christ s salvation story in our lives planting and renewing churches in our regions reaching our cities and reaching the least reached around the world One mission DNA many points of impact My sense is we are at the edge of the Jordan and the Lord is inviting us to think differently about His mission and how we serve together Joshua 3 begins with a call to follow the presence of the Lord to move out from our positions then we will know the way to go since we have never been this way before Finally we are to consecrate ourselves because God is inviting us to join Him in something we could never do ourselves Randy Friesen Prayer Requests Pray for MB Mission s North American mobilizers as they work alongside churches that they would see relationships grow to multiply God s Kingdom and that churches would grow in their passion for God s mission around the world Pray for our North American churches that they would continue to learn from what God is doing in His global church and that renewal would ignite Please continue to pray for the MB Mission board and organizational leadership that we would follow God s leading and submit to His authority in all things English Français Listen

a little each day After several years these two businessmen became convinced they must follow Jesus So they did They continued to meet for prayer and Bible study but it somehow wasn t enough They became increasingly convicted that they needed to find other followers of Jesus They did not know of any other believers in their city or even in their region So they googled church and the closest one was several hours away in a large city They found several church websites from that city and after praying about it they decided to visit one of them When they entered the church that day they met one of our MB Mission workers He began discipling these two men and eventually was able to baptize them in the sea These two businessmen continue to drive two hours each way twice a week to participate in this local fellowship As they pray for others to know and follow Jesus they are the nucleus for a potential church plant in their area Jesus said he would build his church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it Jesus is on a mission in the exact regions of the world currently torn by violence and atrocities If we believe that we too will offer ourselves to Jesus and his mission through our finances our prayers and our availability There are more jewelers and tailors waiting to be discipled Randy Friesen Prayer Requests Pray that God would continue to call men and women out of Islam into a saving relationship with Jesus by any means necessary Pray for MB Mission workers in least reached areas that God would grant wisdom and discernment as they disciple first generation believers and seek opportunities to plant churches Pray for new Christians around the globe

with a smile and they all wear shoes When I looked at her face I noticed a scar that ran from her ear down to her mouth She touched the scar and explained that she was one of the first Batwa Christians in the area As a young widow she had worked hard to advocate for the improvement of her people but one night as she walked home from a church meeting she was attacked by an unknown assailant with a machete The man had chopped her head face and back with a machete then ran away when her cries for help were answered The attack was interpreted as resistance from the local community to the empowerment of the Batwa and the improvement of their lives The forested hillside where the Batwa ministry center was built had formerly been used by the local tribes for witchcraft and even human sacrifice The battle for the Batwa is costly but Jesus has already paid the price He is now calling others who are also willing to fight for their freedom The Hieberts were joined this past year by the Schulz family from Chilliwack BC Between the two families there are now six young girls who are growing up in Burundi sharing the love of Jesus in a nation where simply having shoes makes you royalty The Bible calls us a chosen people a royal priesthood a holy nation a people belonging to God Why Peter explains it simply that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light Once you were not a people but now you are the people of God 1 Peter 2 9 10 That s God s story He releases slaves and makes them his people It s our story
