    offender and community members Several models of restorative justice are practiced in MRJC programs including victim offender mediation family group conferencing circles restorative dialogue and classroom conferencing Our Programs Community Mediation The Community Mediation program allows people a safe and confidential venue to resolve their disagreements without court involvement Mediation can be helpful in landlord tenant disputes neighborhood conflicts workplace conflicts custody divorce or family issues and consumer merchant disputes Mediation service fees are provided on a sliding scale ensuring that every community member can receive the benefits of mediation regardless of their income Juvenile Mediation The goal of a Juvenile Mediation program is to address juvenile problems and conflicts that arise either at home in school or in the community By resolving these issues juveniles will improve their relationships with parents peers school personnel and victims thereby reducing the likelihood of recidivism decreasing school behavioral problems and increasing family harmony Juvenile Mediation programs are primarily funded by grants from the Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils District Criminal Court Mediation The District Criminal Court Mediation program provides an opportunity for those involved in a court case to sit down with a mediator to try and talk through their dispute Each party is given an opportunity to tell their side of the story to hear the other side and to search for ways to settle their disagreements If the mediation is successful the parties are given copies of the agreement to take home and the court case is dismissed Drug Treatment Court Program The Drug Treatment Court DTC Program is a supervised post sentence treatment program for non violent offenders struggling with addiction that helps them establish and maintain a sober and productive life DTC is overseen by a team made up of a presiding judge court professionals and community agency representatives
