    and continuing for up to one year after a participant returns to her family and community The overarching goal of MOMobile at Riverside is to improve the health of pregnant and postpartum incarcerated women and their babies and to help women acquire the resources understanding and parenting skills they need to establish healthy families as they make the transition from prison to home To support this new program MCC was one of 12 organizations selected from 219 very strong applicants for a matching grant from one of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundations RWJF s most highly competitive annual grantmaking programs the Local Initiative Funding Partners LIFP Local grantmakers joining forces with RWJF to support this project include the PA Children s Trust Fund Chace Fund Claneil Foundation Campbell Oxholm Foundation First Hospital Foundation Fourjay Foundation Carole and F Otto Haas Fund of the Philadelphia Foundation Hassel Foundation Independence Foundation Lomax Family Foundation Joseph Kennard Skilling Trust and Tuttleman Family Foundation Maternity Care Coalition was one of 12 organizations selected from 219 strong applicants nationwide for the 2006 LIFP awards These grants are designated to support innovative community based projects to improve health and healthcare for vulnerable populations MCC s Innovative
