    conducting pre mediation calls with parties and mediating EEOC cases Prerequisite 20 cases of experience in a co mediation or solo mediation capacity after completing a basic mediation training program of 32 hours or more Within a three to four month period a mentee will Meet with a MWI Mentor to gain an understanding of the EEOC mediation procedures an overview of EEOC law and how mediators handle EEOC cases from start to end Observation The mentee and Mentor will spend time discussing the goals skills and purpose behind pre mediation calls with parties The mentee will then listen in on the pre mediation calls for an upcoming EEOC mediation and then observe the mediation During the mediation the mentee will observe his mentor solo mediate and then spend time debriefing the case Co mediation The mentee and Mentor will spend time strategizing co conducting the pre mediation phone calls conduct the calls together and then co mediate the case Time will be spent preparing for and debriefing each experience Solo mediation For the mentees final opportunity he she will conduct the pre mediation calls and mediate as a solo mediator while the MWI Mentor observes and provides feedback Time
