  • Thanks NANFA! - NANFA Organization - NANFA Forum
some positive energy From a lot of them lately you would think we were all fire breathing dragons NANFA has been a big help to me as well but not as much as the four other guys that put this forum together who I had met on Aquatic Predators They saw a need for a native fish forum and introduced me to NANFA That s how I got to where I am at today Drunk tired and mean Back to top Quote MultiQuote 3 Guest FirstChAoS Guest FirstChAoS Guests Posted 16 July 2010 11 31 PM NANFA helped me as well When I was new to Nanfa I more or less mainly thought of gamefish and panfish I though all smaller fish in my area were shiners and that most shiners were the same Now due to NANFA I know small fish is much more than just shiners and I care more about the little guys than the big guys I also let me see through the trout blindness or bass blindness or whatever that most people from casual anglers to avid professionals have where they see the water only for the gamefish ignoring the whole ecosystem that supports them Thanks to NANFA I see the little fish as an important building block in the ecosystem as a whole that needs as much protection and support as any other fish do plus they are fun to catch Edited by FirstChAoS 16 July 2010 11 36 PM Back to top Quote MultiQuote 4 Guest donkeyman876 Guest donkeyman876 Guests Posted 17 July 2010 06 53 AM Ya lately there has been a lot or negative energy towards the moderators overall they re doing a pretty good job keeping the forum organised and running smoothly I used to have some serious trout bass

  • Nanfa Funding - NANFA Organization - NANFA Forum
I was wondering Where does the funding of NANFA come from Does it just come from membership dues donations and sales of shirts and american currents Does the organization get research grants from the government or corporations I was curious I was going to make an article mentioning the importance of states allowing fish collecting to the organization and attracting members paying dues but then i realized I am not sure how much membership affects NANFA s income Back to top Quote MultiQuote 2 Guest fundulus Guest fundulus Guests Posted 12 June 2010 03 14 PM NANFA is almost entirely supported by membership dues with a few people making small donations beyond the dues and the annual convention making some money for the group Rather than receive grants we give out grants one program for Education and one for Conservation Research Back to top Quote MultiQuote 3 Guest Irate Mormon Guest Irate Mormon Guests Posted 13 June 2010 12 27 AM A C has a treasurer s report every so often you will find it informative Back to top Quote MultiQuote Back to NANFA Organization Reply to this topic HTML mode is enabled 1 user s are reading this topic

  • Rerunning an older AC article? - NANFA Organization - NANFA Forum
of particular interest What are we doing an Editorial urging native fish keepers to collect fish in a more environmentally friendly manner by Nick Zarlinga published Winter of 2001 Given this is article gets to the core of NANFA wouldn t it be prudent to consider reprinting this in the near future and on some regular basis like every 3 5 years Perhaps with some additional relevant commentaries from Nick
