    and Community Clean Ups to Begin This Week Posted 4 19 16 Tue Bismarck N D Several Pick Up the Patch and community spring clean up events are slated to begin this week and many will continue through May The oil and gas industry volunteer to help communities clean up cities and roadways as part of the North Dakota Petroleum Council s NDPC award winning Pick Up the Patch Program each spring We re excited to kick off this year s community clean ups and are thrilled by the interest shown by our member companies said Alexis Brinkman Baxley government affairs manager for the NDPC and founder of the program Now more than ever we believe it s important to remain engaged in our communities The interest and participation in these events demonstrates that our members and their employees are invested in the community and are here for the long run Scheduled events include April 22 Minot Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Clean Up April 22 New Town Spring Clean up April 23 Williston Spring Clean up April 25 30 U S Highway 85 Clean up Week April 25 30 Watford City 5th Annual Pick Up the Patch April 29 May 14 Dickinson Spring Clean Up May 11 Tioga Clean Up May 17 Stanley Pick Up the Patch Event organizers are looking for volunteers and donations of bottled water gloves and trash bags Those interested in participating or donating supplies should contact event organizers Pick Up the Patch was launched in 2012 to clean up the litter left behind after the snow melted and to encourage a no litter culture The program was awarded the Environmental Partnership Award by the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission IOGCC last fall for demonstrating innovation dedication and passion for the environment Last year

    Oil PAC News Clipping Service Legislative Action Center Buyer s Guide Buyer s Guide Home News Center Industry News Industry News News Release ND Petroleum Council Vote to lift oil export ban to provide long term benefits energy security Posted 12 22 15 Tue Bismarck N D The vote in the United States Senate and House of Representatives to lift the ban on crude oil exports will strengthen the nation s national security keep energy prices low for consumers and help add stability to an otherwise volatile commodity market said Ron Ness president of the North Dakota Petroleum Council The petroleum sector has been an enormous contributor to North Dakota s economy and employment base for decades leading to lower tax rates for residents and lifting salaries and income across the board said Ness Yet growth has been hampered by a decades old policy that forbids us from exporting oil to our allies while countries that fund terrorism have held a monopoly on the market While it won t bring immediate relief to crude oil prices lifting this ban will provide long term benefits and stability to our state and nation North Dakota may finally have the opportunity to export
