  • PA Right To Know Law | Nockamixon Township
    00 am 4 30 pm with the exception of weekends and holidays Requests Requests shall be made in writing to the township Open Records Officer on a form provided by the township Download Form HERE Fees Paper copies shall be 25 per page Certification of a record is 1 00 per record Specialized documents including but not limited to blueprints color copies and non standard sized documents shall be charged the actual cost of production If mailing is requested the cost of postage will be charged The township shall require prepayment if the total fees are estimated to exceed 100 00 Response The township shall make a good faith effort to provide the requested public record s as promptly as possible The Open Records Officer shall cooperate with those requesting records to review and or duplicate original township documents while taking reasonable measure to protect township documents from the possibility of theft damage and or modification The Open Records Officer shall review all written requests for access to public records As soon as possible but no later than five business days after receiving a written request to access public records the Open Records Officer shall respond to such requests in writing consistent with Act 3 of 2008 the Right to Know Law If access to a record is denied the response shall include reason for denial as stipulated in Act 3 of 2009 the Right to Know Law Contact Information for Appeals If a written request is denied or deemed denied the requester may file an appeal in writing to Terry Mutchler Executive Director Office of Open Records Commonwealth Keystone Building 400 North Street Plaza Level Harrisburg PA 17120 0225 Appeals of criminal records shall be made to the District Attorney of Bucks County Michelle A Henry District Attorney 55

    the ground As the runoff flows over the land or impervious surfaces paved streets parking lots and building rooftops it accumulates debris chemicals sediment or other pollutants that could adversely affect water quality if the runoff is discharged untreated You can make a difference and help us keep our local waters clean As a visitor to this site you ve already taken the first step getting informed Step two adopt a couple of clean water habits such as Picking up after your pets and disposing of their waste properly Applying fertilizer and pesticides in the proper amounts Excess fertilizers just run off your lawn and into streams where they causes a lack of proper oxygen levels Maintaining your vehicle properly and most importantly not dumping oil or any type of fluid down storm drains Washing your vehicle on grassed areas so that water carrying pollutants filters down through the ground and does not run directly into the storm drain system Not littering as litter often washes away along with stormwater and can be ingested by fish birds or other wildlife Residents may be the first to recognize illcit discharges coming out of storm sewer outfalls or dumping into storm sewers

    their own waste services For your convenience we ve listed some of our area s major providers who offer their own wheeled carts for storage and pickup Republic Services 731 E Reliance Rd Telford PA 18969 215 723 0400 Del Guerico s Wrecking Salvage 2895 Grouse Lane Riegelsville PA 18077 610 346 9500 Holland Disposal Service Chestnut Ridge Rd Upper Black Eddy PA 18972 610 982 5779 Waste Management Inc 400 Progress Dr Telford PA 18969 215 257 1142 RECYCLING Some of the above paid services include recycling bins and pickup with their trash services but Nockamixon Township currently provides free recycling bins These large dumpsters are located in the parking lot of the township building and are accessible 24 hours a day Nockamixon Township maintains 24 hour surveillance on this area The largest is for cardboard and mixed paper basically anything you can tear The two middle size bins are for plastic tin and aluminum The smallest bin is for glass Please be a good neighbor and ensure we can continue providing this free service by following a few simple rules of recycling etiquette Don t leave or dump any trash furniture TV s electronics household goods clothing or other unwanted items at the recycling area or anywhere on Township property Make sure all cardboard and paper is contained in either cardboard boxes paper bags or bundled with string Containers for recycling should be gathered in a plastic bag such as a standard garbage bag SPECIAL EVENTS Special trash and recycling collection events are occasionally held at the Township Building or other community sites Generally these allow our residents to responsibly dispose of large electronic items tires hazardous waste and toxic chemicals that are normally difficult to find a place to get rid of Generally a local conservation group
